I'm all for hating god, but even I don't think being religious affects your football management skills. Pulis is religious isn't he? yeah .... he thinks he's god

Think he'd be mad to put reputation on line, he's going be managing in the championship next season anyway! Be nice to have up and coming manager though 👍👍

I'm all in favour and am prepared to give the bloke a chance just so long as his religion does not interfere with the football
I don't want to see scenes like this on the touchline 😁

If he is the man welcome on board and good luck fella, you'll need it. 8 months ago we were in the Premier League ( dying embers ), he was getting his first promotion as a League 2 manager. Staggering that this is where we are at. Can't knock the job he has done there and hopefully he is the right fit. Watch a lot of Quest and he is a manager of little dignity, berating pitches, refs, any excuse really. Doesn't come across well, almost a clone of Rowett with his arrogance and smugness.
The thing is we can abide that if he gets results. Huge ask to resurrect anything from this seasons car crash so a period of stability until August and he can then recruit for how he wants to play.
A leftfield appointment, not sure what part of Jokanovic CV with 2 promotions didn't fit our mandate but hey ho, welcome Nathan if it is confirmed.

First Team Staff Not familiar with his backroom staff. Spanish first team coach? TEAM MANAGER: Nathan Jones ASSISTANT-MANAGER: Steve Rutter FIRST-TEAM COACH: Joaquin Gomez GOALKEEPING COACH: Kevin Dearden HEAD OF SPORTS SCIENCE: Jared Roberts-Smith PERFORMANCE ANALYST: Peter Booker CHIEF RECRUITMENT OFFICER: Mick Harford PHYSIOTHERAPIST: Simon Parsell KIT MAN/MASSEUR: Darren Cook Mad Mick Harford in recruitment!?!??!? He's surely like one of the old navy press gang mob, forcing you to sign on the dotted line with a knife to your throat and a knee in the knackers! heard a story about him allegedly pissed up and a wrecking a pub from some ex pros when i did the first part of my A licence coaching badge a few years ago.

Couldn't give a shit if he gets us scoring even nearly as many as Luton. He won’t be able to do anything of the sort until he gets our sorry excuse of a defence sorted out first. Luton's defensive is also excellent, joint best in that division.

The bloke got 8 out of 753 votes on the poll.
I doubt anybody had ever heard of him 24 hours ago.
We're now up in arms that he's the saviour of our club and the mess we're in at the moment.
I'm not sure how all that computes.

It's annoying but you need that in the manager of a football club. As long as he doesn't start being disrespectful to the supporters and wins some games, I won't care.

After being so close to getting Jones...an exciting, passionate and skilful young manager, can you imagine how depressing it would be if we ended up with Moyes 🤣 Moyes I could cope with, but it’s not inspiring. MON and Roy Keane would be the depressing option. Jones would be crazy to leave Luton mid season for a club that axed their previous up and coming manager after just 8 months, leaving a side that is 2nd in the table, in form, and with a real decent chance of promotion for a job that involves tidying up a big mess where the fans want your head on a spike after a few games without winning and where both the atmosphere and the club are in decline. Luton are on the up, with a team that he built and he is loved there, why leave mid season when he can get promoted. If he is as good as everyone says then you can get there will be better offers in the future, but if he is good as everyone makes out then I’d be delighted if he fancies the challenge at Stoke City. Up the potters!

I don’t doubt the man’s ability to manage a game of football but from the clips I’ve seen he’s barely literate. He does know that talking to the media is part his remit, doesn’t he? You've seen clips of him struggling to read? His motivational scripts may be written by Frank Bruno.

Yes he’s a superb player when on form but he needs the right manager to believe in him firstly, then hopefully he can reproduce his best form and earn his place in the team. He shouldn’t be in the team just because of his name though, I just don’t get it with sime saying, let’s just field him.

I'm not sure how all that computes. I'll tell you how it computes mate. Because of incompetence of the highest order at board level for that past 3 years, We have had to endure some dire & lack lustre football.. This guy is in theory the polar opposite.. people are seduced by the thought at an attempt of attacking football, so much so all reasonable doubt is cast out of the window. The decline has been so severe, this is now acceptable. I hope he does well I really do but I'm not jumping on his band wagon until he proves his worth. The jammy sod will not have been able to sleep last night and who could blame him.. good luck to him but I, like you think he will need it, a truck load of it. From a 10'000 full capacity ground with little expectations to a 30'000 full capacity ground with an expectant fan base. Good luck to him 🤭

It’s a brave appointment if it happens. I can see Jones coming because:
1. We are a much bigger club than Luton in every respect - their ground only holds 10,000 2. He will be offered a massive pay rise 3. He will be handed a transfer budget bigger than his wildest dreams. Without this, he can’t fix the mess that is our defence,
I’m excited by the reports of attractive football. I just hope our more jaded old pros get behind a young manager with no experience in the top 2 divisions.

This feels like so many comparisons to what Ipswich did in the summer. They went after Paul hurst, similar win ratio to this Nathan Jones. Shrewsbury definelty punching in a league similar to Luton. What happened next?
15 games 1 win , 7 draws and 7 losses....
I’m sure when Ipswich appointed this guy,
“It was branded as a "New Era", but after just five months in charge, Paul Hurst's time at Ipswich Town is already over.
There was much excitement when Hurst was given the job at Portman Road, with many fans convinced that he would be the bright, young manager to take the club forward.
However, it never happened for him, and instead he leaves Town in the midst of a real uphill battle to maintain their Championship status.”

Although he didn't have to justify anything, i'd argue most folk would of had Fulham in a relegation battle yet they pulled the plug early doors on him.
