I don’t doubt the man’s ability to manage a game of football but from the clips I’ve seen he’s barely literate. He does know that talking to the media is part his remit, doesn’t he? You've seen clips of him struggling to read? Haha brilliant

I will form my opinion about our new manager as the season progresses! Whoever gets the job should be given time and our support. Yes our recruitment record is not great but they are the ones paying the money! A bit of positivity would not go amiss at this moment as if we aim for the play offs we need to hit the ground running!

Jesus that account just seems to post FIFA Pro Clubs bollocks before that Jones post. I don't believe it in the slightest.

I am really excited about Mr Jones. If he is indeed appointed tomorrow, I think it will be a master stroke.
Lessons have been learned. They know the fans don’t need an expected norm of Sam or Moyes. Both were universally lamented at Westaaaaam and Everton. Until Moyes moved Arnie to striker, due to injuries, he was heading towards the sack. Big Sam being here would have only eventually have raised unrest due to our battle hardened aversion to hoof eet nogga. He would have served up a style of football that would have made the Cage look an attractive proposition.
I am looking forward to an identity. I have missed that. I have missed something that I can nail my colours to, whilst knowing how WE play. Jones obviously has a philosophy that has already served him well. Turning a team around, in the doldrums of the 4th teir, to stave of relegation and then lead them to promotion is some accolade in my book.
Setting a team up to win a game. I have honestly forgot how that feels. Under Rowett, the turgid dross he served up left me cold and devoid of any belief that we even had a spark in us. Even when leading in a game he naturally conspired to handicap his team with bizarre substitutions.
Let’s get behind this exciting appointment and look forward to progressive, attacking play that looks to put teams to the sword.
GOAAAAAARRRRN STOKE and Welcome Mr Jones, we’ll be with you...it’s just that a few on here haven’t had their meds. They’ll come round though.

Passionate interview after Lutons draw at Shef Wed last weekend. Just what our club needs? If he's our man then honestly I'm a little afraid but excited at the same time...

This appointment really screams ambition doesn't it?? 😂 To me it seems as if the coates family are appointing a cheap option and a potential yes man not only that if we fail to gain promotion then they'll be happy to linger in the championship for the foreseeable future "young and up and coming" he may be but so was rowett apparently look how that turned out. 🤷 As somebody already pointed out, there are cheaper options if thats the way they wanted to go.

It makes me think he is some sort of nutter! Couldn't give a shit if he gets us scoring even nearly as many as Luton. He won’t be able to do anything of the sort until he gets our sorry excuse of a defence sorted out first.

He's far from another Rowett and is currently managing, therefore has experience or were you referring to another Rowett as in Moyes, Allardyce etc who'd cost millions and fuck off in 12 months? Nathan Jones if its him, will not take Stoke up you heard it first. Allardyce was a safe bet. Allardcye is a pipe dream. Just as much chance as Wenger wanting the job.

All the negative dross we’ve been watching is due to the ex manager realising that his defenders were no where near as good as he perhaps first thought they were. The entirety of the back four needs replacing ideally.

After being so close to getting Jones...an exciting, passionate and skilful young manager, can you imagine how depressing it would be if we ended up with Moyes 🤣

Anyone looking at that video sees potential examples of deep narcissism and sociopathic tendencies. This is worrying. We are stooping very very low if this is a goer.

This is an odd day but lets assume everything you hear is true.
Just a recap
QSF knock backs ends us up at Lamberts door (clearly incompetent at his Stoke City pay grade and proven so) Any Brit with a pulse Knock backs ends us up at Rowetts door (clearly incompetent at his Stoke City pay grade and proven so) An SJ knock back ends us up at the door of a bloke with literally MINIMAL experience and ZERO experience of football above Luton Town (has anyone been to Luton?) and very odd tastes lets say. I mean, OH MY GOD, this is craziness and bad decision making on virtually unbelievable levels.
This must be an April fools joke. Please let this be all smoke and mirrors.
Stoke - get your shit into gear and go back to SJ with an offer he cannot refuse and sign him up. WOW, just WOW. He has said he is totally available for hire.

I like the cut of his jib, personally. Seems to have a bit of an edge to him, and seems like the kind of bloke that players will want to play for. Definitely got a bit more personality to him than our previous three stooges.

Listening to this guy's interview, in the posts above, leaves me believing that he will take a lot of prising away from Luton. He gives the impression of being ultra proud of his team and sees them as being a Championship team next season and not without some justification. He's also loved by their fans. What's in it for him to even consider moving? Money? Challenge? Ambition? So in my humble opinion, it's going to have to be an amazing sell and offer from our Lords and masters to get him to make the move. Assuming they succeed, I just hope he quickly develops the same passion about the Stoke City team and unites the fanbase behind him and them. In anticipation, welcome to Stoke and very best wishes for continued success. Onwards and upwards.

I thought (from the most recent edited title) that Jones had agreed terms and its now Stoke discussing with Luton what compo is needed (we can send them some players on loan maybe as a sweetener - no that would be cruel on them, give them some cash instead)

Never heard of Jones but hell, could he be anywhere close to being the trainwreck that was Rowett? Doubt it. Hopefully he's fair and this time our manager is club first, not me first.

FFS give the bloke a chance if he is our next manager At least he has experience of managing How many on here would have been wanking themselves into a frenzy if we had appointed lampard or Gerard earlier in the season who had no managerial experience. The likes of Eddie Howe Sean Dyche etc etc started somewhere just give the bloke a chance Opinions on Rowett were split before he came to stoke rumours of shit football etc etc so some of us knew he was possibly a wank manager.
Jones has done nothing but get good reports and most importantly good results albeit in a lower league. But if he is our next manager let’s hope he has a brand of football worthy of our great club. I will give him my full support as should you all let’s make us loud and proud to be Stoke again and not a soft underbelly of a puppy rolling over waiting to be tickled. We need to be a Staffordshire bull terrier growling bouncing around showing other clubs our teeth waiting to scare everyone we play The premiership has made us soft and spiteful. So if you are our manager Nathan Jones good luck and let’s turn this shitpile of a season around with some pride. Gooooarrrrrnnnnn STOKE!!!!

He'll need a chance long term too but I'm worried he won't be given a chance if he loses his first couple of games. I don't for one second expect us to start winning every game but some people probably won't accept less. We need stability at this point and someone to come in for longer than 8 months. Provided he doesn't start disrespecting the supporters, I'll be happy to get behind him. I was quite content with giving Rowett more of a chance until he decided to disrespect the supporters. We need someone to unite the fans with the club after this shit show we had under Hughes, not someone who is in it for themselves.
