I hope he plays him and he does brill ,but if he plays and bombs out then at least we tried (again) to fit him in . No argument with that - but didn’t expect to hear you say it! Got no issues with Bojan Tosh ,just felt he had lost it over the last few years ,really do hope he gets it on. Far too many managers just didn't trust him enough to play ,but I hope Jones'y can prove me and them wrong .

Very excited by this and the long term vision of the club/playing style. Lets now back him and get 2 or 3 players in this window.
his win rate has been phenomenal over his period at Luton, however it will need to be around 63% until the end of the season if we are to get play offs.
40 points needed to match last seasons 6th place.
A huge ask and if he gets anywhere close then its been a success. Good luck and lets get behind him.

Some of the Luton fans aren't taking it too well: - I hope he fails miserably, catches his missus being fukked up the arse by Peter Crouch, loses his job by April and starts smoking crack and heroin to deal with his problems. This was a man that I thought genuinely loved the club. His passion carried us all along on a journey that just over 24 hours ago looked like it was going to take us a long way. He celebrated with us, he told us how much he loved us and how much he loved the club. He talked endlessly about seeing his project through and building a successful club. He appeared to be a man of honour.
2020 supported him in everything he asked for and he will never find another board that will back him as they have done or another set of fans that will adore him like we did.
Today I feel gutted, at the very first opportunity he has jumped ship. He has rammed all of our love and support for him down our throats to take a gamble. This is the lowest I think I have ever felt as a supporter of this club and I cannot bring myself to wish him well.On a par with i'd say, just for different circumstances, ie Jimmy Ryan got shafted by the twats running the club at the time, whereas the people running the club this time got shafted by a jumped up twatty fake little treacherous c unt.The universal sign of a good manager. If the fans of his former club don’t wish that his missus gets shagged by one of the players, then you’re onto a loser. We had none of that from Derby fans with Rowett, and it turned out to be the case.

Listening to his interview he really seems a likeable bloke who knows what he’s on about, having initially been unsure he seems like someone who is going to do very well for us and finally we will have a manager that everyone will be behind

What a breath of fresh air. He speaks well, and certainly sounds as if he will be a great addition to our club. It’s going to be hard for him and we can’t expect miracles straight away, but maybe this is the turning point now and we can move forwards.

One thing's for sure, I don't remember anywhere near this many testimonials from people in the game and previous clubs fans with Rowett.
Trying not to get my hopes too high though!

and a good few others Stoke City get it right with Nathan Jones appointment This is bold, this is different and it could well be shrewd. " Jones, a deeply intense and religious man, was given a surprisingly lukewarm reception by a section of the Potters' fanbase ..." Oh come on.
I wouldn't say Gods, RAF, davejohnno1 and a good few others were anything like that enthusiastic.

From what we've learned about him and his philosophy I would expect quite a few of the older heads to be moved on. Obviously there is always a place for experience & good pro's but I think we need an injection of young blood and vitality.

My initial reaction was rather against the appointment, but having listened to his interview and found out more about him, I think it may well prove to be an inspired appointment. I was not one of the group calling for the end ofrtrtf Gary Rowett. In fact I think he was a better manager than was apparent at Stoke and will probably go on to do well elsewhere. Oddle enough Nathan Jones looks a bit like Rowett, but I suspect his career at Stoke will be much different.

Talksport 2 have been talking to an ex teammate of Jones just Adrian Clarke and he says it’s well known that Luton are the fittest team in League One and the running stats prove it.Said he was the fittest player he ever played with also so I’d expythe pre season to be tough. Nothing but positives to say about him👍Still talking Stoke now for anyone interested Is there a way to listen again on Talksport?

You have to feel this wasn't a Coates Snr driven appointment?.. Maybe John is the main man now?. Any confirmation of press conference when he will be introduced? Will he be in the dug out Saturday?.

Out of interest, has Peter been at any games recently? Looks like the succession planning has been taking place and John has taken the reigns as of this season. Not trying to speculate but hoping it's not been because of any health reasons.

A gamble, but a more informed and intelligent one. Deffo preferable to the usual crop of meat'n'taters journeymen & hoofers. I was hoping that they'd reach out to try & find a decent foreign coach - but if they did approach Jokanovic and he declined and interview then fair enough - this guy speaks Spanish apparently so at least he'll be able to talk to Bojan !!
Can't wait for Brentford - and the Leeds game should be awesome if he can get a bounce out of them.....
