Well done to the board for getting the process right this time, far more professional than the fiasco of one year ago when it seemed we couldn't find anyone willing to be our manager.

Welcome Nathan, I hope you turn out to be our best ever manager, but you are replacing one of the worst, so not much to beat.Good luck and get us shooting up the table.

Well, he certainly said all the right things. His infectious enthusiasm, positive demeanour, hunger and determination are all there to see. I'm not sure how any player wouldn't respect him. I was excited about Rowett to be fair, but there seems to be a real steely determination about Jones. A determination to ensure that he drives every part of the club forward, being truly a part of the club (saying „us“ and „our“) and buying into what makes Stoke city and its fans as one. He has a philosophy and it looks very very promising! I’m pretty excited!! Although woe betide anyone who crosses him, player or otherwise... those welsh mining folk don’t half bite! 😉 It is interesting to note that he spoke to „Peter and John“.... and not mentioned Tony (as he was mentioned by Rowett in his appointment and he was publically all over it). I’m not suggesting he is going, but he is very quiet on this one... lessons learned?

He’s got till half time at Brentford to impress me. After that he’s fair game...... What’s so special about this bloke that he gets the full 45 mins before we decide? I’ve warmed to him. Otherwise I’d just be judging him as a manager solely on his dress sense....

He's very intense and one thing about that is in any walk of life, an intense leader drags those that want to be with him, with him and those that don't soon fall by the wayside.
I'm very impressed early doors.
I can't wait.

I fail to see how any Stoke fan can't be excited at the prospect of what lies ahead?. Watching clips of Luton play I saw more first time passes than in all games under Rowett which is a positive.. This is a giant step forward in our managerial criteria for now & moving forward. Get an experienced DOF in now to complement him and we will be good to go!!

I can't imagine any fair minded person would not want to give their best for a boss like that, who has passion, a deep commitment, and loads of enthusiasm. He speaks with humility and displays great respect for those he has worked with in the past.

Said in his interview he had a magnificent relationship with the Luton fans. That statement alone is like a breath of fresh air!!. Quite a few of them have taken to social media wishing him well but gutted he's gone.

I've just been reading the comment section under the article about this in the Daily Mail, one of the top comments was this from a Luton fan...
"I want to thank Nathan Jones for everything he brought to Luton Town Football Club, the re-focus on developing young players, bringing the club passion back after many flat seasons, creating a proper buzz down the Kenny and the success that's there for all to see."
Lets hope we're saying the same things in a few years.

What a fantastic first interview. I like the bloke already and I’m instantly behind him and the project ahead.
I feel galvanised- we could be onto something here fellow Stokies!

Pleased we are playing Brentford on Saturday as it will give him a good opportunity to assess the players. Lets make sure we give him the time and support to turn things around , I am getting excited about this appointment just hope it isn't premature. The Luton fans all rate him highly unlike the remarks we got from Derby.

What on earth is going on here, he sounds calm, intelligent and articulate but intense and focused at the same time. He is either an expert con man or a great prospect, I am signed up for the ride as of now.

having watched the video, im even more impressed.
he said "we" when in reference to the club more times in one sentence than Rowett ever did in his tenure.
I'm also under no illusion, that he is incredibly focussed and ambitious - should he do a good job here, no doubt bigger clubs than us will come calling, and it's likely he will go. But we'll deal with that when it happens.
Reinforces my good feelings about this one.

Stoke City get it right with Nathan Jones appointment This is bold, this is different and it could well be shrewd.

As long as he Doesn't complain about a lack of creativity in the final third and keeps leaving him out of the squad. I hope he plays him and he does brill ,but if he plays and bombs out then at least we tried (again) to fit him in . No argument with that - but didn’t expect to hear you say it!

Some of the Luton fans aren't taking it too well: -
I hope he fails miserably, catches his missus being fukked up the arse by Peter Crouch, loses his job by April and starts smoking crack and heroin to deal with his problems.
This was a man that I thought genuinely loved the club. His passion carried us all along on a journey that just over 24 hours ago looked like it was going to take us a long way. He celebrated with us, he told us how much he loved us and how much he loved the club. He talked endlessly about seeing his project through and building a successful club. He appeared to be a man of honour.
2020 supported him in everything he asked for and he will never find another board that will back him as they have done or another set of fans that will adore him like we did.
Today I feel gutted, at the very first opportunity he has jumped ship. He has rammed all of our love and support for him down our throats to take a gamble. This is the lowest I think I have ever felt as a supporter of this club and I cannot bring myself to wish him well.
On a par with i'd say, just for different circumstances, ie Jimmy Ryan got shafted by the twats running the club at the time, whereas the people running the club this time got shafted by a jumped up twatty fake little treacherous c unt.
