Cant see any reason why he won't take charge at Brentford. The players will be back in for training on Thursday so he'll have 2 days with them. I'd rather have than than Delap and Rooster. dead right, I'm sure he would want to too. Great chance of a needed 3 points on Saturday and can't afford to lose more ground |

The more I read about the bloke (footballing wise), the more I like him. He seems to be extremely well rated and respected by those knowledgeable of the lower leagues. It seems like the sort of appointment that the shrewdie owners of Brighton or Brentford would make.
What is absolutely palpable is that he’s not going to put up with any players not dedicated to the cause. He’s going to put his life and soul in to the job and his tactics require absolute dedication to the cause. Any players not pulling their weight won’t last long with him. He’s got a strong footballing philosophy and he’s going to drill in it to the squad every day exactly what they should be doing. Something that we’ve missed. The biggest concern from the Luton perspective is how they will replicate the work rate and intensity he gets out of the players. If he can squeeze every bit of effort and endeavour out of our current crop we should be in with a chance of promotion.

With the appointment of Nathan, does that mean Rowett as moved up stairs? I thought that Sale as gone cheaper than his original price and Phillips just got screwed!?

with hindsight Rowatt was a bad move but the board have taken action. If Cartwright on his way also then at least they have made a good attempt to fix the problems and the least we can do now is get behind everyone, including all the players and have a united collective push to see if we can either save the season or build a good platform for next. It is a bold decision we have to give them credit for that. If we can get back to bearpit and add his passion then just maybe we can sneak into the play-offs. Can we now forget Rowatt, Pulis, Hughes, Moyes, Jokanovic, Allardyce et al, get behind the club and all the players.

Through my own ignorance I didn’t have a clue who he was yesterday morning but I am very pleased that he’s decided to join us and become the new manager. From what I’ve read and understand about the work he’s done at Luton he’s a driven and ambitious manager who has a philosophy that could work well for Stoke. I’m very excited about this appointment.
The players are certainly good enough and I think they’ll step up to the plate and help push us back in the right direction.
