Is the plan for Jones to take his first game against Brentford, or will Rory handle that and Jones take his first game against Shrewsbury? Do we have an answer to this? Apologies if covered, I’m really not in a position to be keeping up with the news today (infuriatingly)

Scholes and Carto are staying. As Rowett's entourage cleared out with him, you'd imagine that Nathan will bring his own backroom staff en masse to the club, as is the case with most managers these days, although I hope he finds space for Rooster and Rory to stay and how Mad Mick Harford would fit in with Carto is a puzzle. Are we sure pizza boy is staying? What I have been told (as ever, just passing on info, don't shoot me if wrong etc......).

Welcome and I hope it is the beginning of a long and fruitful time at Stoke. It's probably the bravest decision and biggest gamble this club has made in the last 20 years, but I didn't really fancy any of the usual suspects who are always bandied about, so fingers, toes and everything else crossed that it is a successful gamble. I have seen a few interviews with him over the last couple of seasons and he doesn't appear to suffer fools gladly (careful with those safe questions Nigel). He always came across as a very focussed and ambitious young manager, who I don't see as being anyone's "Yes man" or patsy, so hopefully he will quickly sort out any big time Charlies at the club if they try to swing the lead. I know a highlights programme is not the best way to judge a team, but over the last few years Luton have looked like a very dynamic, aggressive and forward thinking team who like to play on the front foot, don't take their foot off the gas when they are ahead and score goals for fun on the Football League show. I don't expect us to suddenly start knocking in 4, 5, 6 or 7 goals a game (3 occasionally might be nice ), but if the new manager takes the brakes off a bit and allows the likes of Ince, Afobe, Woods etc to show what they really can do and send out a team that looks like it is trying to win games and is not scared of its own shadow, then that must be a positive. Over the last few months 3:00 to 5:00 has been the least enjoyable part of a matchday. I hope Nathan can help bring back a bit of a smile to Saturday afternoons. It might be a bit of a rollercoaster but I am now looking forward to the next game. Time to buy my Shrewsbury tickets.

Apologies if covered, I’m really not in a position to be keeping up with the news today (infuriatingly) Only thing I've seen is the Percy article saying his first game will be the Brentford one. Nothing confirmed by the club as yet.

Apologies if covered, I’m really not in a position to be keeping up with the news today (infuriatingly) Originally (yesterday) the Sentinel said it was unlikely that the new man would be in in time to take charge on Saturday but nothing has been said since that that I'm aware of.

From the BBC:
"He's known for being an excellent coach on the training ground and improves his players, while shipping out those he sees as 'passengers' or troublesome."
Probably be shipping out half the squad then

Nothing confirmed by the club as yet. Surely a caretaker only takes charge when the manager has only been appointed less than 24 hours or so before the match. I'd have thought that seeing as the match isn't for another three days Jones would be in full charge on Saturday.

Cant see any reason why he won't take charge at Brentford.
The players will be back in for training on Thursday so he'll have 2 days with them. I'd rather have than than Delap and Rooster.
