What do we want?
An 'easy' side at home? A good day out,say Shrewsbury away or Blackpool. Big Premier League side at home?
Worst draw would be any Championship side away.

The way the season is developing I don't see us having many games where there will be anything really to play for. I am probably being over confident of our ability to avoid a relegation battle.
With that said I'd go for Arsenal at home: it may be the only chance of a decent "bearpit" atmosphere for some time.

I see also in 1978 we played Tilbury, winning 4-0. Pretty rare fixture.

I thought we'd played Carlisle in the 90's under Lou Macari but a quick Google search says we didn't, but we did play them in the old Division two in the 85-86 season. We drew 0-0 At home and lost 3-0 away apparently.

None of the others (Barnet at home but not away. Yeah any of them away please.

Normally I’d say Accrington away ... but given the possibility / likeleyhood that Northern trains may continue with their Saturday strike days ( upto 29 December already announced... impacting on Bolton) I’ll go for anywhere South
