Last time, and also today, I forgot to bring my mother's jacket to the laundry room.
She passed away in February and it was not until this month we were ready with all her stuff, emptying the apartment completely. She got Covid-19 at the hospital from the staff.
So I will wash that jacket and bring it to a second hand store. Possibly with some curtains. I thought I could use the curtains, but it seems all of them are to short for my windows.
I had a strange feeling this morning when I opened up the door to the drying room inside the laundry room. The door wasn't locked but the noise was loud. And what did I see? Just a pair of sneakers hanging in there in the middle of the room. Nothing else!!
I'll go down there again. Right now.

I got to the library to pick up a book I've ordered to borrow. It's about Darwin leading to Hitler. It made me wonder, does every darwinist have to be a nazi?
In the stairwell I meet a neighbour, an old woman carrying a big laundry basket in front of her. I'd just washed the floor, it got really wet. I hope she doesn't fall.
The three things in the laundry room were exactly the same, with the only exception the dish brush wasn't erected today.
😴 Still sleepy. Have to eat as well.

I do regret I didn't mention the floor though. But I have serious problems with keeping two things on my mind simultaneously, now focusing to avoid movements bad for my injured back. If I eat I forget to drink, and vice versa. If I'm at the toilet to do the two things I always have to go twice. It wasn't until I'd brought my own things home I remembered the floor.

I met the Radio man in the grocery store the other day and the weirdest thing happened; He didn't recognize me, didn't have any idea who I was.
When I said I was a neighbour a couple of floors below him, he said it was logical. One of the weirdest meetings I've had with anyone recently. What's logical about that?
We've got a note a few weeks back saying a special cleaning patrol will clean the laundry room thoroughly in November. A bit odd really, since it's already very clean.
On Friday it's time again.

That's a very strange response from the Radio man.
Initially it sounded like you would get on but now it seems you're on different wavelengths.

Were you in disguise? Anyway, I'm thinking the logic is from his view in that you only recognized him because you both live in the same building which is logical. You present yourself as being hyper-aware and hyper-observant, so he is obviously not at your level and did not recognize you. However, if you were a member of some Swedish female bikini volleyball team, he may have noticed...assuming that's his inclination of course. Live long and prosper.

Today.
Went down there with some curtains and tablecloths my mother used to have until she died. I prewashed the stains on a couple of curtains with some floating washing liquid. My windows are too high so I can't use the curtains. So we will sell or give them away. If the stains don't come out, throw them away.
Started machine #1 with my clothes first though, a couple of jeans and t-shirts etc.
That early in the morning not much happens.
Three things as usual: The dish brush The cloth The wash basin plug All lying down, nothing against the wall
However, I noticed someone had cut off the largest water pipe down the floor, at the backside of the washing machines. At they end they'd put silver tape. I wonder if it works?!
Maybe I get a surprise when I go down there ...

... one more thing I noticed today, when I checked the calender on the wall.
They had spelled December wrong! "S" instead of "C". 😬
It was some Toyota or Hyundai calender.
I'm going down now ...

Later today this Tuesday I will buy some washing liquid, since I have another laundry pass on Wednesday evening.

I bought it today instead, the environmentally friendly washing liquid called Grumme, at Lidl, 33 SEK (=£2.5).
Went down there and someone used the tumble dryer. It was on my time, but no problems, I never use it. I dry my stuff in the drying room and in the appartment.
The three things were the same: The yellow cloth The was basin plug The dish brush
The person in question had pulled the washing powder compartments out so they were visible. It was me who started to do that a couple of years ago. 🤣 But, he/she hadn't cleaned them. They were filled with the white paste. So I cleaned them first, even though I always use one ball inside the machine instead for my liquid. The water flows through those washing powder compartments initially in the washing cycle.
The most surprising things today so far:
First thing: The person had a huge amount of black lightweight bags in the clothing wagon and on the floor. I had to force myself through to get to the wash basin to get some water on the yellow cloth to clean the washing powder compartments. And it was all there was! No other things, no clothes or sheets. Only an extremely huge pile of lightweight black bags.
Second thing: The keylock the person had used was red only and had no number on it!!! Every other keylock has a number and they're always blue and also white where the black number is printed.
Black and red. A Milan fan? Satan?

And trouble getting any sleep. Unlikely I will use the laundry room tomorrow Tuesday, in only a few hours rather ... Think I'll just remove my keylock. 😴 I just did (06.35). Back to sleep ... 😴 Removed the keylock to Saturday.

Try it some time, it may be worth your while to take an occasional break from the dreaded laundry room and relax for a spell. Getting back already folded laundry is a good feeling. Assuming of course you have access to such services.

Let's call it a subplot or variations on a theme. Therefore, I'm assigning all you doubters three Hail Marys as well as an Act of Contrition as penance whether you are Catholic or not. That goes for any atheists as well. I'll know...he'll know. And by "He," I mean Musik.

And by "He," I mean Musik. We don't have any laundry services here. I had to check again a couple of days ago, but found none. Either you live in a house and have your own washing machine or you live in an appartment and either have a washing machine installed in the bathroom (not in the kitchen) or you go to a laundry room, often in the basement or at the entry level. The option is taking your garments to the dry cleaner's, but it's very expensive. 100 SEK (£8) per shirt, 150 (£12) for a dress, 750 SEK (£60) for a leather jacket. Then, if you have let's say 50 garments ... It's not even an option.

Back from the laundry room. I washed my grey merino wool sweater with a zip by hand in Y3 hand washing powder. The rest stucked in two washing machines.
I found a leaf on the floor.
The three things were the same:
A cloth A wash basin metal plug A dishbrush
To my knowledge this week, one neighbour on the 2nd floor is moving soon and the family on the fourth floor have already moved this week. I met the blonde mother when I went from the library today; she seemed kind of sad.
Going down there soon. The merino wool sweater was of course very wet. I hope the floor isn't too wet now in the drying room. They would complain then.
Watched Saudi Arabia having a great shot and a corner just now against Poland.
Two new household's members to know. But I haven't learned how the members of the four new households during the pandemic are yet. So basically I have no idea about 20 people living here.
The radio man hasn't moved.

I thought the leaf was unaturally black around the left edge. I couldn't give the cloth, plug and brush to the mysterious person since I don't know who it is yet. Furthermore, I couldn't take a bauble from that mysterious person either of course. Are you psychic by any chance? 😱 When I leave the laundry room I am on a street going from the north to the south and it can really be called a dirt road, since they're digging it up again. It's really still a mess, with mud and stones and ... And about the mailbox. They took away the mailbox from the road crossing this road, so I've wondered about the discussions about moving it to the road here instead going from the north to the south: will it happen? The place to put it should be to the right outside of the laundry room on the wall close to the hair dresser's. I've also talked to people about the new place they've said will open next to the hairdresser's, just around the corner, it has been in progress for long, they're painting the walls et cetera. It can be a laundry service even, since we don't have any in this country. The size would be perfect.
