I don't get it. He's not our player, he's not our best 'keeper. Strange.

He's the worst of our 3 keeper's ☹️ I think MON wants a shot stopper. If that is what he's going for, then Gunn is by in large the best for it. He's pulled off some brilliant saves. That Watford one was unbelievable. Bursik's not ready. And I don't think Davies is anything other than average.

www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/live:bbc_radio_stokeMON discusses it here at 18:20 - then Andy Quy discusses the future MON says Bursik is "a big part of the future" From Nixon's story, maybe we aren't legally bound - but it's something MON wants to do as it's all agreed? We must be paying a fraction of his wages too as Soton want at least some of their 3rd choice keeper's wages off the books and we were the only takers? "Angus has agreed a loan deal for this season and next"

I wonder if we'd consider selling Davies, out of contract in 2022 and we might get a few hundred grand for him?

Sell Davies and get some ffp gains there. Keep Bursik as number 2 and to play in the cups etc.
Happy days.

Makes perfect sense this. We've got three solid keepers, arguably the best group of three in the division, going into next season and they'll be settled.
Job done.

Like I said mate I really don’t care which one of the three plays as they are all as good or as bad as each other .....I’d prefer Bursik but I’m not fussed It’s not like one is a Gordon Marshall

Davies has got to be a goner surely? Sell him for a few hundred grand, send Bursik out on loan with a 24 hour recall clause and have Blondy on the bench and playing for the under-23's......

Blondy isn't good enough to be second choice imo. He's a calamity keeper.

Its early days with Gunn still, but he does not look like a confident keeper to me. It'd be harsh to say he should have saved the goals last night but I can't help thinking 'what if Davies was in nets...'?

Gunn was clearly at fault for their first goal.
He had a clear sight and it wasn’t in the corner.
He was caught on his heels, was out of position and reacted too slowly.

Difficult to see a path back for Davies, which is harsh on the guy considering he didn’t put a foot wrong after coming in for Butland towards the end of last season.

I see Gunn as 3rd choice.
MON clearly has a different opinion.
Davies' time at SCFC appears to be up; hopefully we can get decent money for him as he is a decent keeper.

I do find it bizarre how Davies has been our most consistent keeper and yet is the one being pushed out the door. I guess the long term plan is Gunn for next 2 seasons and then Bursik, so Davies doesn’t fit into the picture.

I guess the long term plan is Gunn for next 2 seasons and then Bursik, so Davies doesn’t fit into the picture. Fits the bill for Scholes' interference in matters, and also fits the consensus that Rowett, and TP before him, had such a problem with the diabolical transfer system we have at the club. 'experts'including Scholes seem to make a list, then of it on to the manager, and that's about the limit of the managers powers. Gunn was being looked at in 2018 ffs, he's been largely poor since then but is 'premiership' isn't he? We don't even need him now, certainly not as no.1, Davies has the right to be completely pissed off with the club by all accounts too! I would be. Bursik is a fine number 2 isn't he with our haphazard approach to selection anyway... This wreeks. We are on such a tight budget, to use up a loan signing when we don't need it on the likes of Matondo and Gunn, then see the likes of signing Chester, and brown for 2m was completely odd... What fucking experts we have.

He didn't have clear sight, take a look at the referee's positioning g. Possibly the ref did unsught him for a split second but that doesn’t excuse his poor positioning. The ball entered the goal a few feet from the post and yet he was diving full length and got no where near it.
