Not another N'Zonzi wankfest. How many more do we have to have? He played for Stoke. Did nothing but pass sideways and backwards. Couldn't wait to get away from the club. I haven't missed him for one day since. Get over him. Move on for god sake!

The shit would be a better side if they had recruited Nzonzi rather than Pogba and they've had saved tens of millions of squids too. Ha Ha Ha His market price before this season lay around the £30M. When this season's over he'll cost as much as Pogba did.

When this season's over he'll cost as much as Pogba did. Some on here said he was going Juventus two summers ago for around 140m! There must be a reason why no one will even take him just 30m A three page thread after last night, yet when they played Leicester in the same fixture a couple of seasons ago and he stunk the place out home and away no one added anything. Bloody get over it.

He wouldn't have signed. From the moment he arrived he was after a move. But we didn’t have to sell him when we did for a paltry fee , just another example of woeful commercial management , do you think he’d have left spurs for the same fee in the middle of the window Yes we did

What gets me about Nzonzi is when he played for us he wasn't terribly well appreciated. Home to Newcastle United 2014/15 I had a return to my youth because I started arguing with a bloke nearby me. Apparently the reason Steve always passed backwards was because he's a "backwards French cunt who needs to be fucked off" The crowd let out a collective groan a few minutes later when Steve passed sideways but it was the move that led to Crouchy's winner so that stopped everyone moaning at him for half an hour. Second half with a lead to defend and pegged back Nzonzi was again getting the blame. They reckoned was his passes that kept us under the cosh and the crowd weren't shy of letting him know it. Of course he could have twatted it forward and we lose the ball but that was a preposterous thing to add to the equation and I was told so in no uncertain terms. Next was away to Sunderland and we played pretty crap really and got beaten. BUT plenty of the Stokies in the upper tier knew whose fault it was. It was Steve's. I went for a half time piss and there was a lad venting his Nzonzi rage and decided he was only in the team because "he must do a fucking good blow job". Horrible things to say about your own players but that's how many saw him. Just a lucky lazy plodder. Of course in reality he's a smart player keeping the ball and fully aware of his role but sometimes that's lost on people So now when I see so many of us furious about him being elsewhere and doing well it's worth wondering why he wasn't fully accepted by lots of us until he left. Sometimes it's difficult to see what you have at you hands and he was such a player. He was certainly much better defensively than attackingwise when he was at Stoke too, and a lot of people felt he was slowing the play down at times. I also think that the main reason why he wasn't appreciated the way he deserved as a player was because he was banging on the manager's door every season with a transfer request.

He had one outstanding season for us as he was in the shop window after yet another transfer request. Could we have got more money for him? Possibly. Could we have kept him? Yes, but he would have been sulking for a full season and we would have got fuck all for him. Could we have offered him a large contract? We might well have done, but we couldn't offer European football. An excellent player who we have never replaced. Did last night prove how fucking great he is or just expose how very ordinary Pogba can be? He's gone and we fucked up not replacing him properly, but he was never staying.

He was one of our best players from day one.

Excellent player, strange attitude at times. However, he got to big for our “fish tank”. So instead of making the tank bigger, we sold the fish and ended up with guppies like Cheapo-Moting. Hence, we are where we are.

Got to love a good N'zonzi thread Regardless of what anyone says, he was a fine player, one of the best we've had in recent memory. I particularly like the sulking quotes. He allegedly demanded a move every year but he didn't really sulk when he didn't get it did he? Seemingly the same is true at Sevilla. Hasn't he asked to move from there each season as well, yet every time he appears on our screens, he seems to get better and better.

One great season. Others would have you believe differently. Rewriting history. Totally disagree with this. He transformed our way of playing from virtually day 1. Up until then we had Whitehead and Whelan who simply could not keep the ball, yes they fought hard and battled but did not know how to distribute a football. Nzonzi simply does not give the ball away. Its not just that, he has got a great awareness of the game and a way of creating time and space on the ball. Our fans would be the same ones who think a player like Fernandinho is shit because he often passes the ball sideways or backwards. Our fans just want players who scrap like Allen but have got no awareness of what's going on around them, runs into banks of defenders when they do go forward and can't pass.

Or even understand tactics other than if you're not running around like a headless chicken you're lazy, don't care or you're a disgrace. "kick him" or "break his f....g legs" are my favourite examples of the football fans intellect.

Great player insane fee by a bunch of incompetents Surprise nobody has mentioned it before really. In reality it was 6m then or nothing a year later. If we kept him for the extra year and got nothing you would be the first one declaring incompetence and mismanagement. Therefore your opinion is null and void. You cannot make a player sign an extension. Sol Campbell will tell you that
