Is this what the tories mean on leveling up potholes in the South with the money of the North Yep. Let’s give the contract to Archway of Ireland, Tongling Longshun from China or the Indian company Speedcrafts. We don’t want to be supporting our own civil engineering companies now do we Think you missed the point northern hs2 money used to fill southern potholes

How can he simply *refuse* to hand them over? If that's the case, just arrest him FFS! I've always said that the most scandalous messages are not those we've seen but instead those our politicians have tried to hide. Was he not supposed to support Moderna, a company that has made one of the most effective vaccines for Covid?

If protocol has been followed then I've no issue.

I wasn’t referring to your unfounded "northern hs2 money used to fill southern potholes" comment. I was commenting on the bit you twisted into a favour award to a Tory donor company clearly disregarding the fact that JCB are a British civil engineering supplier, rather than a foreign contractor from Ireland, China or India which you would, no doubt, prefer over JCB.

When she says about people being pressurised and intimidated to vote a certain way. Does she mean MPs who receive donations from Israel lobbyists? Or does she mean by the people in their constituency who they're employed to represent the views of?

You do realise that Rachel Reeves isn't a member of the Conservative Party, let alone a Government minister?

I'll make sure to only criticise and discuss the current governing party in this thread moving forward. Hopefully nobody gets upset by that and starts questioning why the thread may be unbalanced. Damend if you do. Damned if you don't.

Work spaces seem fair game for politicians though.

The danger of Starmer's 'say nothing, commit to nothing' approach is that mass apathy may still win the day. The polls could easily get alot closer, particularly if Sunak decides to chuck out some goodies for the grey vote (e.g inheritance tax cut).

I agree with you on Starmer The rest is a numbers game The coffin dodgers (like me) got the Triple Lock Increase Less than 4% pay Inheritance Tax so it makes no Electoral sense, but you can never rule out their level of stupidity
