Zero growth for the previous quarter - the economy is clearly stagnant at the moment which was going to be Rishi's only chance of a positive election result next year.
Labour will stroll into power but the problem is that I don't think they really have any idea how to improve the situation now that the gravy train of low interest rates/cheap money has been brought to a halt. A difficult period of governance is ahead with very little room for manoeuvre - similar to the situation for David Cameron in 2010.

have you considered that folks might not tell the truth when they answer the questions ? i know it could work both ways but , as the threads on here are proof , the lefties seem to be more desperate to get heard ? There's a delicious irony in someone that only ever provides links to the Mail or Express complaining about bias 😃

Her staggering level of ignorance over Northern Ireland, should see her tendering her resignation first thing this morning, completely regardless of anything else she has done ... I honestly think Sunak will ride out this Braverman controversy on the off chance it does kick off tomorrow. It's not a good idea for him to sack her before we know the outcome. Otherwise he will find himself on the back foot. Now Tommy Robinson and the right wing mob including the self styled "Democratic Football Lads Alliance" have said they intend to go and "protect" us all and provide an Islamic resistance, she may have got her wish. Feels like I've travelled back to the 1930s. www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/far-right-groups-palestine-march-london-b2445029.htmlI’m assuming that there are a lot of pubs near the Cenotaph?

No difference?

Shhhh all MPs are the same. Labour are the same as the Tories. It makes no difference who is in power. Yvette Cooper as Home Secretary would be no different to Suella Braverman as Home Secretary. She would have written the same as what Suella has written….. The laughable thing is that Tories always claim to be the party of “law and order”. Just like Republicans, they are only a party of law and order until it doesn’t suit them. Then they throw them under the bus.

There's a delicious irony in someone that only ever provides links to the Mail or Express complaining about bias 😃 Similar to those who quote and share the guardian and far left twitter links ? No difference? If they've been complaining about bias of course, haven't seen much of that tho. The Guardian is seen by most as being pretty accurate and believable tho, whereas the Mail definitely isn't. That is from one of those surveys that phileteen and you probably don't trust tho, it was only Ofcom after all..

I don't know how Gullis manages it but each time he appears in the public eye he makes himself look an even bigger pillock. I don't think I've ever seen anyone more desperately in need of a crash self awareness course. I like him. I really can't wait to see where his life goes next. (On the risky assumption that the people of S-o-T aren't stupid enough to vote for his brand of idiocy again, of course).

True, but hopefully without 'austerity' as the ideological 'answer'.

I suspect you're correct. Or at least a good few nearby that will fuel the football lads alliance and make sure it all kicks off. Last thing Braverman and the rightwing tabloid press want is a nice, peaceful march, hence all the inflammatory rhetoric, false news stories and stoking of tensions.

I've been on this forum for a few years now. And I'm honestly yet to see two people who consider themselves "right wing" on this forum publicly disagree on anything political.
Is the right wing just an echo chamber or can they think for themselves? Or is it just people are scared to upset their internet friends? If someone is going to fall out with you because they have a difference of an opinion on a particular topic then they're probably not worth your time to begin with.

Everyone who considers themselves right wing on this forum. I've never once seen them disagree on anything politically or challenge eachothers views. Yet yesterday I'm challenging oggy. Last week I'm challenging bayern. Few weeks before that I'm challenging Paul, wannabe and redwhiteandblue. The biggest critics of the Labour Party on here tend to be people from the left wing. The right wings an echo chamber. Can you give any examples of where you've disagreed politically with a fellow right winger on politics?

Anyway I'm pissed off so gonna game for a bit. Fed up with this pettiness and obsession with turning every discussion into an us v them and making everything into a division.
I have no doubt though that once Labour do win the election that the biggest critics once again will be the left wing while the happy clappers continue to bend over for their government overlords.
If the government is fucking over the population I'll continue to callnitnout. I've no loyalty to any of them.

Here’s the thing Huddy…..if the cleaner is over 23 years old the Minimum Living Wage for London is £13.15p/hr. Isn’t the real question why the tories allow employers to pay minimum wage, which is less than the sum people need to be earning to be able to afford to live (the living wage)?
