 Why is absence from the work police measured as a number of people rather than a percentage of working aged people? I just think this statistics produced by the bbc can be a bit misleading considering the population has increased by around 10 million between 2000 and 2023. |

I simply do not understand your first sentence Your second sentence is factual incorrect The UK Population increased from 62.7M in 2000 to 67.7M in 2023 I assume the source you are quoting from is trying to make a point about economic activity/employment Despite claims to the contrary on this and other threads there are less people employed today than before Covid Pandemic |

Just today the government admitted the rules on plant and animal imports coming in next year (the oven ready deal is still not actually fully implemented it was so bad) will cost businesses an extra £330m a year. Who will they pass on the higher prices to do you think? That is inflation. I didn't say i don't care about schools and hospitals mate, you've just made that up. Brexit isn't the cause of inflation. Inflation has many causes, just because the vote didn't go your way that doesn't mean Brexit is at fault for everything. If something costs £330m more how is that not an increase in costs? |
