Wow, don't think I've seen anyone go quite that colour before when being interviewed, what was he thinking when he agreed to it š¤¦ It's like arguing with some on here š "I have no evidence to prove it, but you're wrong" š

I would like us to go full steam ahead and get ahead of all the other countries. Becoming a manufacturing powerhouse in green technology should be what everyone wants and would really help out the next generations. We can't afford to slow down, green technology is the future and we have to put ourselves right at the front of it. But what if hydrogen becomes the thing. Or what if they refine the ICE vehicles to incredibly low emissions. And what happens when they perfect the battery tech and loads of poor sods have spuzzed 50k on a car that overnight becomes almost worthless. But this climate panic is near on forcing people to show their virtue. It got me and im a cynic. So your lets just go right now could result in billions wasted on shyte that becomes redundant. Patience. Kipling wrote a poem about this, keeping calm whilst those all around lose their minds. Summat like that anyway. I dunno chief š How long do we do nothing to see if hydrogen is the answer? While the world continues to heat up and experience more climate change induced environmental extreme events. Would the science ever be settled on hydrogen? Problem is, if you accept the scientific consensus that it is our fossil fuel burning that is causing this (and, let's face it, the big oil companies accurately forecast global warming in the early 70s, so it's not some kind of recent, "lefty, woke" stuff) then, to avoid the worst of what's coming, we have to act now. Sunak's recent decision has basically sent a message that it's business as usual for the next decade, when it's decisive action now that is required. It'll be way more expensive in the future to take the additional measures that will be necessary by then to tackle the additional problems that will have been caused by doing nothing now. Of course, it won't be Sunak's problem he'll have departed the political scene by then. You can only hope that, if society does collapse as a result of severe climate change pressures, and all of the people he thought would be around to protect him in his dotage as an ex-PM have fucked off because they're more worried about where their own food iscoming from, that he experiences a moment of epiphany that he personally made a significant contribution to the chaos! But probably not!

But probably not! Fair enough. Me however, I've learnt my lessons from the covid hysteria. They work on fear. Big business and ever larger big govt taking full advantage dishing out massive transfers in wealth amongst themselves. And its us foolish sods paying for it. Turning on each other and shaming one another into taking actions we can ill afford. They've even got you visualising an apocalypse. My god. You carry on chief. I'm going to keep calm and keep a close eye on what these fuckers are up to. I'll be happy and I'll own my own fucking stuff tar. š

But probably not! R & D will continue, and when a workable alternative is found it can be put to the masses. There is no viable alternative to implement right here and right now.

I dunno chief š I'm not looking at it as a panic button we need to press, I'm looking at it as an investment in the futures of our children and our children's children. We need to get ahead of the competition and be the hub for green technology. When you are leading the way you will adapt quicker and easier to any changes the future brings and more often than not it will be these companies that make that transition first as they reinvest into even better methods. Unfortunately we are in a race and it's not with the climate it's with other country's. When it comes to future technology everything is a race. From Nuclear weapons to landing on the moon, country's that wanted to be the first didn't slow down and take a chill pill, they went for it.

OK get ready and be aware of pie in the sky announcements and policies by the tories none of which are serious credible or just They are being announced so the gullible will vote for them and reduce labour's predicted majority If any of these policies they believed in they would have implemented them over the last 13 years
Get these scum out register to vote and get voter id now Don't let the tories steel an election
