Again, what 'media' specifically? Who are you referring to? I must admit I'm curious myself. What planet are these people living on? Ultimately it’s my opinion. It just seems like anyone that doesn’t agree with the left is deemed stupid.

Again, what 'media' specifically? Who are you referring to? BBC are probably the most guilty. Sky have become like CNN of the UK since the new ownership. That said, it always makes me laugh how just before and just after the Conservatives destroy Labour they always try and act like they were impartial or Conservative supporting all along. Anyone would think they suddenly shit themselves at the prospect of having a left wing government. Sky and CNN's obsession with electing Joe Biden was some of the creepiest, biased reporting you'll ever see.

The BBC who keep adding Tories to their board of directors and who have for years had tories occupying several high profile political reporting and presenting gigs? What 'bullying' are they doing of Johnson, I've clearly missed this?

I'm all for biases providing their in equal measure. Why wouldn't you want that? As it happens I don't think the media in this country is actually militant left. I think on balance it's centre left, particularly socially. But then again, I have no issue with left wing media providing we have right wing media to counter that. Do you not think that's fair?

I mean the BBC was going so obviously left that the whole leadership team was replaced. Here's a good indication Rob as to where the majority of our media sits. You, yourself, would admit that talkradio is completely different to any other media outlet in the UK right now, right? It's taken the country by storm over the past couple of years. Why is that? The answer is clear - It's different, uncensored and it's broadly Conservative.

The BBC gets loads of stick but it keeps adding Tories to its board, and over the years has had, in major positions, Neill, Robinson, Laura K, Paxman, Marr, Dimbleby, all of whom are conservative broadcasters. The vast majority of the print media, all of whom now have high-traffic online outlets, is right-leaning. Do you think it might be conceivable that it's just you that's moved (further) to the right?

Sorry but that's wildly inaccurate. Murdoch sold his (38%) stake in Sky to bloody Comcast in 2018, the owners of the infamous centre left CNN. The shift since has been so obvious. Neil got pushed out of the BBC for being too right wing and contentious and Laura K, right wing? Seriously? Robinson also got sidelined from being the main political correspondant and Marr is just a solid interviewer but remains impartial. I repeat, why does talkradio stand out? And why would you not want left wing and right wing bias in our otherwise dull, mundane mainstream media engine?

The same one who held Hartlepool twice? With an increased vote share? That one? Took out Theresa May in 2017? That one? He took out Theresa May by losing an election to her 🤣 You know Labour is fucked when they celebrate defeats. It's over dude. Find a new party.☺️ I mean May's manifesto was basically you gran will have to pay £25k or whatever it was towards the cost of her social care by selling her house after she dies, Labours manifesto was pretty much free everything for everyone except rich people and they still fucking lost

Ultimately it’s my opinion. It just seems like anyone that doesn’t agree with the left is deemed stupid. Opinion based on what mate? How i see things. For what’s it’s worth i don’t vote tory and didnt yesterday. I don’t like being browbeaten and told what i should be thinking which is probably why i won’t vote Labour as it stands even though i have in the past when John Smith was leader and when the www wasn’t about. Call it petty but it’s a principle thing. Labour for me is all about negative thinking and what’s wrong with the Tories without offering an answer themselves other than to blame the Tories a bit more. The title of this thread sums it up perfectly. As you can tell i’m not an academic I tend to be swayed by what people say and how they say it.

I imagine like the majority of the country and unlike you he didn't want a racist lying jew hating terrorist supporting tosser to be PM The same one who held Hartlepool twice? With an increased vote share? That one? Took out Theresa May in 2017? That one? It's good you finally recognise the racist lying jew hating terrorist supporting tosser is as described, he had lost hartlepool in 2019 but got very lucky the vote was split, if he hadnt fixed it for his mate a known sex pest to stand again in 2019 they wouldnt have been a by election.

More so since 2016. For me, that's why TR stands out because its so unapologetically Conservative. The BBC should be spearheading the neutral side of our media and I think its failed in that. It's been painfully woke and as Starmer is quickly learning, there is nothing the North of England despises more than wokery. Most ordinary people just want to get a job, earn money, support their family, be nice to others, go on dates, put a car on their drive and pop over to Marbz or the South of France for their summer holiday. We are a simple country. People don't want to be told they are racist, evil neanderthals that need to accept 100 different genders and shouldn't be allowed to be successful. I don't disagree re the last 100 years point but in fairness that's reflected in well over 90% of the world. The world throughout the past century has been largely socially Conservative.

I'm telling you why and you keep telling me I'm wrong while suggesting people who vote Conservative don't want to be nice to others! It's exactly that mindset...until your side of politics accepts what people in the UK value, they'll keep on getting utterly raped in every election going - London and the odd northern city aside. I also don't buy this concept at all that Starmer is losing because he's not left wing enough. Its a comical view. There is a reason Blair was the only remotely electable Labour PM in our lifetime. And it wasn't because he was really left wing, woke, took a knee and wanted gender neautral toilets.

I'm not one of these weirdos who supports one political party the same way they support a football team. I'd never vote Conservative but that doesn't mean I'd uniformly vote Labour if I wasn't happy with their direction. 2) I didn't 'suggest' anything, I asked you a question and as usual you blustered and harrumphed rather than answering it - like when we talked about decolonising the curriculum the other day and you said that allowing more voices to be heard was 'dangerous' but didn't elect to tell us why.

You also haven't clarified specifically the 'be nice to people' thing and what specifically you mean by that? I only ask because falling over yourself to call people turds and your apparent opposition to any kind of fairer or more inclusive society doesn't, on the surface, seem to line up with those values. I'm sure that's not true though, so I was just hoping you might clarify a bit?

What are you going on about and what are you trying to tug away at? Being nice and courteous to people is a fairly common British trait. I'd be concerned if you genuinely need that defining. You're getting stuck in the weeds as usual.
