Johnson did not get permission from ACOBA when he went back to his £250k pa column writing at the Torygraph after resigning as the worst Foreign Secretary the country has ever known. The man has no shame. Absolutely and ACOBA refused to give him retrospective approval when he eventually applied There were also questions about his $150,000 speech in Colorado But what we need to take into consideration is that Rules do not apply to Johnson www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/politics/2022/oct/12/boris-johnson-colorado-speech-questions-rules

Shit just got real. Hancock was always likely target given his stupidity as I said earlier I expect there may be buyers remorse in those making Sue Grey allegations which should die down shortly

Shit just got real. Hancock was always likely target given his stupidity as I said earlier I expect there may be buyers remorse in those making Sue Grey allegations which should die down shortly There will be no action taken against Hancock. It will be seen as not being in the public interest, or similar. Which is nothing if not ironic given how many of the public he actually managed to kill by sending untested OAPs back to their care homes. Remember how reluctant the Met were to take any kind of action against people partying inside Downing St? They'll take the same approach here, except that because it's a more significant offence, no action will be taken.

Your probably right, I'm not too sure, maybe it's wishful thinking on my behalf The Tory's desperately engineered a situation whereby the Covid Enquiry wouldn't report until after next GE Matt Hancock’s stupidity has put a lot of partial information in the Public Domain via the TELEGRAPH! "Let's wait for the full report " just won't wash with a very pissed off public. Hancock is standing down at next GE, the Tory's would throw him to the Dogs if it would save their skin Jake Berry who was Party Chairman said this tonight in another Tory supporting Rag "Senior Conservative Jake Berry described the disclosure as an “absolute disgrace” and called for Mr Hancock to be hauled before the Commons for questioning" The "Disclosure" was Hancock threatened to withhold funding from a Learning Disability Centre if other Ministers didn't support his lockdown plans As Bianco might say, things you love to see .... If they charge Hancock they also have to charge care home owners and managers that excepted the untested patients back for monetary gain Some care homes rightly refused any untested patients

Get your priorities right, Huddy, it's not about money, as waga will demonstrate in his post below this one, it's about protecting our sovereignty from these invading hordes. That, and saving billions by not putting migrants up in four star hotels, when it suddenly is about money...

So we all know that the Tories aren’t the answer due to being corrupt, clueless and dishonest something that pretty much everyone (me included). So other than the obvious (Labour) what is the answer. If I’m honest I’m yet to be convinced by any political party but certainly won’t be voting Tory at the next GE.

Its a shame that with the way our electoral system works that it's very much a 2 horse race recently. I don't think any other party(s) can realistically get enough votes to challenge Labour/Tory though. Like yourself a bit politically homeless at the minute. Still a long way to go between now and a GE though so things may change.

Fair few like that on here Wags..... I’ve never courted popularity Most of its true but why do they have to keep being bitter and twisted over brexit And alleged amounts we might or might not of gained or lost Because brexit is costing our economy and global reputation dearly. It is right that politicians are held to account for lying to the public about benefits that still haven’t materialised in any way, shape or form, and that project fear would never happen when a form of it so clearly is happening. I think you are right that the way to cut through is not to mention brexit and to only mention the other catastrophic failures of the tories. Because people find it so difficult to admit they may have made a mistake and were sold a lie on such an emotional issue. The mythical sovereignty will one day be in reach, if we cut all ties with every single country on earth! Russia are demonstrating their sovereignty now. North Korea are known for it. Do we really need to be more like them? Or shouldn’t we all just get along and accept that decisions in our country are heavily influenced and manipulated by other nations (and big companies) who have more power and sway over what happens here than our government do. The tories only campaign on emotional issues, rather than real tangible policy. Brexit as an example, immigration and small boats is another. Fox hunting another. I could fix the small boats issue almost immediately as Home Secretary by creating ways for asylum seekers to seek asylum from British Embassies abroad and to pump money into processing claims so they are done quickly. Then, those coming on boats could stop risking their lives and the business model of of people traffickers dies. It also means the much publicised laws the tories keep failing to implement to stop boats would become legal, because there would be a safe alternative and nobody would need to travel by dinghy. Then the government could focus on the cost of living crisis, or schools, or the nhs, or house building. Tangible issues that are actually important and are much more likely to be the source of discontent in this country. The tories would then actually be levelling up.

If I’m honest I’m yet to be convinced by any political party but certainly won’t be voting Tory at the next GE. The answer is introducing a democratic voting system fit for the 21st century. That way the strangle hold on power of the two main parties could end. With first past the post, we will only ever have the same two parties in power (which is why they keep it that way)

We cannot put a precise figure on it. The same could be said for covid. Does that mean we should conclude that covid may actually have benefitted our economy? Considering brexit is reportedly costing us more long term that covid, we are desperate to sign trade deals with anyone yet ripped up the largest and most lucrative trade deal on earth, I would say the economic trend of brexit is pretty obvious. Unless the vast majority of business leaders, economists etc are all wrong on the trend. If brexit is a positive factor for our economy as you say it might he, why are we suffering so much more from covid and the Ukraine war?
