Naughty Bozo, who would have thought he lied to the Commons!
Of course he'll brush it off as not "knowingly" doing so. Usual Boris bullshit of course.
He really needs to quit, give up public life, do a Portillo.

An indulged toddler will never accept they have done wrong He even lied today when he said the Committee relied on Sue Grey's Report in reaching its findings, it didn't To be fair Boris as PM always kept a Full Cabinet It contained Whisky, Gin, Vodka, Champagne, Wine etc

As i'm sure we're all aware, Hancock narcissism more concerned about how he looked in the press than dealing with the pandemic.
This daily drip feed from the telegraph is really quite extraordinary

Perhaps he is just trying to win the public opinion vote of his cretinous devotees who are prepared to believe any old bullshit The "I'm stupid" defense it unlikely to work when questioned by the Privileges Committee as despite Boris's lies there is Documentary written evidence that his advisors were finding it increasingly difficult to come up with new excuses for him to lie to the Commons Assuming the Privileges Committee find against Boris they must then decide what sanction if any is warranted. For this to become in effect it must then be voted on in the House. It will be interesting to see how many Tory's vote in favour of Boris Essentially the Rules of HoC are designed for MPs to do the honourable thing. Boris has dragged the HoC into the dirt

Hopefully it'll be televised like the one where Gullis somehow made himself look an even bigger plum. Be worth getting the snacks in for Yep, they've already confirmed that the entire thing is going to be broadcast live. It's going to be so interesting to watch because Johnson's MO for his entire life, has been to lie when he's cornered. I was quite perplexed earlier, when the Comittee released their advance findings ... why on earth would they give him advance warning on the specifics they intend to ask him about? But now I realise that it's actually an extremely clever ploy, they are removing his ability on the day, to say that he doesn't remember, or that he'll have to get back to them on a specific question. They will have already told him three weeks earlier, what specifically he can expect to be asked, so that type of answer isn't going to wash. He now has a choice, he can either tell the truth or he can take a chance on concocting a story, in the belief that he can get away with selling it to them.

That is a quite extraordinary exchange, is it beginning to dawn on Oakeshott, that there's an extremely good chance that her career is in the process of ending?

Latest Hancock messages "thinking about going human" "Having planned a statement saying that no rules were broken the night before, Mr Hancock now asks his adviser what those actual rules were."🙄 "Mr Poole sends over a link about the law at the time, when Britain was Step 2, and Mr Hancock says that their affair was “arguably charitable”, which was one of the exemptions." 🤦♂️😂

It's a great question and one I've been doing some calculations on The question the Committee have to consider is whether Johnson held Parliament in contempt..... this should be relatively straightforward as Johnson holds everyone in contempt Of the four Conservatives on the seven person Committee Bernard Jenkin is very likely to vote to sanction Johnson and ask him some rather piercing questions during proceedings. His wish was for Johnson to quietly resign during Partygate and didn't want him on the Vote Leave campaign as he doesn't see him as a serious character Laura Farris is already on record as Voting against Johnson in confidence motion due to Partygate being "the final straw" As a Barrister, if she chooses to, she could ask some very adroit questions. To be fair she's not the worst Conservative MP every time I see her being questioned she gives off the impression of wondering why she is even there Andy Carter and Alberto Costa who knows I wouldn't like to be in their shoes for the next couple of weeks the Lobbying will be intense I'd expect Harriet Harman as Chairman to conduct proceedings well and reel in Johnson's waffling to avoid answering questions Allan Dorrans (SNP) and Yvonne Fovargue (Lab) are lightweights, I may be pleasantly surprised The real fun and games will come if Johnson is found to have committed contempt and what the proposed sanction is. A 10 day suspension leads to a by-election For Rishi it's a nightmare as it regurgitates the whole Partygate issue, which he was fined for. A vote for the Conservatives would essentially come down to a quasi vote of confidence in Rishi and expose the division in the Party

Thanks Paul I hadn't realised she'd stepped down, but hardly surprising given her utterances on Johnson previously Walker was very anti lockdown, can he support a man that imposed it then ignored it. He's currently feeling liberated having decided to step down at next Election I'd expect he will vote on the facts not Party Loyalty
