This speech is not helping. She is refusing to really row back. She's gone. Absolutely finished. She's like an android in an Arnie film that's been blown to bits and the vocal box keeps repeating the same sentence on a loop. 🤣

She was like a rabbit in the headlights. I actually felt embarrassed for her. She's finished. Can't bring myself to feel sorry for someone who's caused and is gonna cause a huge amount of suffering for Brits. Loads of people are going to get pushed over the edge because of Truss. Of course you can argue it ultimately goes back further to Brexit etc but she didn't need to ruin more people's lives.

Jogging off after 4 questions. Taking no responsibility at all. Not even daring to call Beth Rigby for a question. She continues to plumb new depths. An embarrassment She desperately looked around the room for those journo's who might go easy on her and then each and everyone of those she picked savaged her. She then knew she couldn't repeat the exact same answer a fifth time and scarpered.

If the Tories did sack her or she resigned, they don't need to hold an election to choose the next PM. They just put their heads together and get the other MP's to agree on one candidate only and, being unopposed, they would be in office almost immediately. And the Blue Rinse Brigade would have no say in it.
OS.

Doubt Kwarteng gives a fuck. Him and his mates have already got what they wanted.
He likely never has to work another day in his life... the twat.

If the rumours are true the only real solution is to give it to Mordaunt because they just can't give it to Sunak. They'd be alienating the last 80k of people that are supporting them.

I agree on this. I think Kwarteng will just ride his time out as a MP now until the next election and probably make a decision to leave politics before sauntering into a nice job with a financial institution of some sort. He's already got one of them whilst sitting as an MP in fairness......... Hey man, he definitely resigned from that job when he became chancellor… …May have it back come Monday…

Whose the next Tory PM gonna be lads?
Tory voting intention keeps plummeting but these lads stay loyal.
Could it be argued that we now have the majority of tory supporters in the country on this forum

My God that was excruciating from Truss. She started off by trashing every Government since 2008, mostly Conservative
She then went on to trash Karzi for announcing a "mini budget" on which she won an election from 80,000 Blue Rincers
Next she U-Turned on Corporation Tax which will plug the gap by £18B but there remains £25B of unfunded Tax Cuts. I can't see the Markets waiting until 31st October for OBR Report they want straight answers NOW
She alluded to spending cuts, reading between the lines it means freezing Budgets and not increasing by Inflation In effect cuts
Mortgages Interest Rates will still be almost 3 times higher than 1 year ago
Interest on Government Borrowing is more than double than before "mini budget" which will require further cuts or more borrowing
Wanting Growth is not a Plan, its a Soundbite and an aspiration
The Fourth Chancellor THIS YEAR we were told by Nadine was responsible for UK unpreparedness for Covid. In his Twice Unsuccessful bid to get the support of his fellow MPs his main Economic Platform was to reduce Corporation Tax from 19% to 15% His first act in his new position will be to increase Corporation Tax from 19% to 25% Like Liz Jeremy was a Remainer who had a Damascus moment Or expressed another way he lacks convictions
I feel sorry for 2 people
Larry (The Cheif Mouser) he must be fed up of meeting new Guardians First David then Theresa then Boris and for now Liz ...
And of course FYD who must be holed up in some darkened room in Croydon, does anyone know if he's OK we haven't heard from him in quite a while

Some interesting propoganda from the "left bias" BBC here: Look at the last bullet point. "First time buyers" hahahahahahhahahahaha. You'd need to have a household income around 100k and a deposit of 50k to buy your first home at those prices. Let's not pretend stamp duty changes were for the benefit of first time buyers. Most first time buyers are paying sub 250k and now nobody pays stamp duty on houses at this price range (Bar landlords). So these changes actually make it harder for 90% of first time buyers as it just adds extra competition.

Even Nadine Dorries turning on them now  She must be missing the bafoon already. How anyone can trust ANY tory is beyond me. Power power power is all they care about. Bunch of snakes the lot of them which only care about power, not the people. How can Nadine come out and say this after calling for a GE herself a week ago. Scum.
