So Dominic Raab thought it would be clever to take the piss out of Angela Raynor for going to the Opera while claiming to be working class. So what is his point?
He obviously has a fixed idea about working class people should and shouldn't do.
What an over-privileged arrogant twat.

How many of the labour bench have actually been brought up under a true struggle? How many have not attended some nice private/expensive grammar school? Starmer appears to be one that at least got there on merit rather than money, but he is as dull as dishwater.

It’s rare for this snivelling yes man to come up with such a strong opinion that doesn’t involve his loyalty to BJ. I do believe that number 10 have tried to correct this poor comment.

Without going through all of the Shadow Cabinet, and obviously the definition of "a true struggle" can be debated, but I think Rayner and David Lammy's upbringing seems on paper to be far away from the privileged upbringing we associate with politicians. Starmer and Lisa Nandy seem to have had what most people would call a normal upbringing - certainly not wealthy but also far from being raised in poverty. Rachel Reeves looks as she falls into this category as well. At this point I realised quite how big the Shadow Cabinet is and realised I've got better things to be doing with my day! I'm sure there's a few in there from wealthy families.

I'm sure there's a few in there from wealthy families. My thoughts exactly. I doubt whether Starmer or Rayner got where they are by relying on the privileges, contacts and arrogance that come from the upbringing the likes of Johnson et al benefited from. Nor does having been brought up under a true struggle become a necessity for empathy for those who have. Some definite echoes of people knowing their place and being content within the confines of it being demonstrated by Raab and on here. I would've thought a less socially rigid country would be a good thing. I guess accusations of hypocrisy are inevitable if people you don't like move outside those expected confines.

And one that back fired on him big time. Rayner, unlike Starmer, seems to know how to put the ball into the back of the net in front of an open goal.

Raab is possibly the biggest liability in the current government which is no mean feat. Rayner nailed her response here, Starmer is still probably running it by the focus group as he's worried about being called a Stalinist due to the Russian proletariat's love of opera.........

That's an odd occasion to have a dig at Starmer. His ability to work with Rayner despite their differences and, at times, clashing personalities has actually been a positive of his time as leader.

The problem here was boris and Coe and the corrupt Tories got there grubby paws on it As I said at the time alot of back handers took place For those with the stamina, the Guardian article is well worth a read. The whole "legacy" seems to have been shambolically handled, but Johnson's priorities come through clearly and the provision of decent affordable housing for local residents in a deprived area do not seem to be part of it.

Rayner could be quite a formidable politician if she can “reign” in her aggressive instincts. Her “Tory Scum” comments last year did her no favours. She should look north of the border to how Sturgeon conducts herself. She demonstrates awesome levels of assurance and authority and rarely gives an indication that she is boiling with rage. She is, pretty much always, calm and controlled. Of course she slips up every now and again, but it’s never more than a stumble. She destroys all her opposition - not just Tory and Labour but enemies within like Big Eck and his Alba Party. Of course, this doesn’t mean she is doing a good job of running Scotland; she isn’t. But she is, imo, certainly the No. 1 politician in Scotland (and arguably the UK) by a country mile.

Knowing a few people connected with contracts down here and listening to the people who were formally evicted from around the external site there are alot more stories to come out dispatches a few years before the Olympics did a piece on Coe Edwards and contracts that they tried to block but a judge let it be aired Abit like the corrupt stadium deal that boris signed off on

Bad start for Mr Not A Misogynist there........ The only person desperately trying to change the subject is yourself fella, you intiated this conversation when you replied to my post asking if the GLP were shit or disingenuous for claiming to have forced disclosure on test and trace contracts when the NAO published this information in June 2021, you still haven't attempted to answer this have you but then as you don't know your GLP from your GLA from your imaginary IOPC investigation thats perfectly understandable. You really are an inane throbber Bless still avoiding the question proper little GLP / GLA fanboy aren't we

They talk shit now being investigated for dumping shit there's a big stench about this government 😁 Yet they’ll likely still regain power. I genuinely believe that there is no (not many) excuse(s) for not voting in a general or local election. It’s more than a privilege, it’s a right that has been fought for, for centuries. ~67-68% turnout is poor. There should be measures in place whereby able person is required to vote. Infrastructure should be put in place to allow for people to take paid time off work to vote, etc.
