That's who you want as Justice Secretary, someone who doesn't like misogyny, whether it's towards a man or a woman...!

Have you forgotten the protests about the Glazers already? The green and yellow scarves, FCUM being set up in response, etc. There were loads of people complaining about Chelski and his questionably earned billions "ruining football". There were lots of complaints about whether the sheikhs had a dark side and were trying to launder their country's reputation through football when they took over at Man City. So, it's not all of a sudden at all, it's actually the latest in a long line of Premier League take-overs by very questionable individuals (remember Shinawatra at Man City? Presumably not!). The real point is that, as in all walks of life, money talks much louder than moral standards. For examples, see the countless dodgy Covid PPE contracts and, as you correctly point out, the awarding of the World Cup to morally bankrupt human rights abusing countries like Russia and Qatar under Sepp Blatter. I don't think it's faux outrage, just the latest in a long line of instances where the powers that be don't give much of a shit about anything other than money. Nothing new in that, of course, but let's not demonise the people who continue to point this out!

The alternative is to tell the whole lot of the shady bastards to piss off taking there ill gotten gains elsewhere And then boycotting the next world cup But we all know that’s never going to happen so yes people have the right to point this out and I don’t have a problem with it But my point of hypocrisy stems from the other nineteen premier clubs putting complaints in where if the takeover had been by a bunch of genocidal Serbian separatists with a spare ten Bob note and a box of chocolate Brazil’s with the chocolate sucked off Then there would not be a squeak The other clubs are shiting themselves that someone can suddenly outspend them ( other genocidal people are available and only a small amounts of Serbians have ever committed genocide)

Johnson is a disgrace…the country is on its arse and he buggers off to a mega rich friends house in Marbella…he really does not give a shit does he. When will people see that Johnson is not capable of running our country? I get sick of hearing “ oh it’s just Boris being Boris”…he is shit and needs replacing ASAP.

I think the only chance he'll get voted out before the next election is if the economic crisis deepens, which, given the clown dropped a nuclear bomb on the economy for 18 months, is entirely possible. He's a total plank, totally unfit to lead and isn't remotely Conservative. The opposition is equally as hapless and if there was ever a time to overthrow this dreadful two party system, it is now. Clearly that requires the public to vote for alternative parties which is a big "if".

He is indeed a trivial man, unbothered by detail or, in fact, anything much more than his personal ambition of being PM. Much more likely though is for Bluffer to see it through to the next election. He'll probably lose some support, but enough people will still vote for him purely out of either blind loyalty or on the back of having got Brexit done, irrespective of what it has actually done to the country, for him to win again, albeit with a much smaller majority in all likelihood. Then he'll pick his time to depart before the next election, be replaced probably by Sunak and it'll be rinse and repeat all over again...inequality will grow, ordinary people's lives will deteriorate, public services will get worse, some new "enemy of the people" woke-type guff will be dreamt up to deflect the daft away from what really matters and on it goes...

Yeah after his "I want to reign longer than Thatcher" comments I can't see him stepping down anytime soon and it's hard to see the public or his back benches voting him out either. Was pleasing to see the Reform Party go from 1% up to 5% in the previous polls and it feels like they are going to target Tory seats (as well as Labour) which is the only way they'll take seats. Most Conservative voters understandably shied away from voting Brexit Party in 2019 in fear of the obvious. However, with zero difference in the centre left stance of Starmer and Boris, voters will be less concerned about the prospect of letting Labour in through the back door - They have nothing to lose. All we need now is your lot to form a new breakaway Islington elite, party of gender neutral, identity politics obsessed, sexist, racist Corbynistas. Starmer just doesn't answer women's cervix questions like a true, authentic wokie.....😉

So one of the things I like to do as quite a liberal chap is listen to quite a lot of the other side as it were l because I believe one of the problems facing both left and right at the moment is echo chambers.
I found lotus eaters quite interesting even through I disagree with many of the things they say I think it’s worth a listen, particularly if like me you’re quite left leaning in social terms
