Is there some law that you cannot have another referendum? What happens if a General Election happens within the next six months (perfectly feasible)... and one of the parties goes with "another referendum" mandate. Neither Labour or the Tories are calling for another referendum... I think people are fed up with referendum. Even the SNP have stopped calling for one. I know that wizzard... But six months down the line and in the political maelstrom that has caused the election.. who knows.?

Really starting to think that Brexit will not happen The economic uncertainty is going to cripple the country soon. A second (more informed) referendum is beckoning. There has been a second referendum in 2016. The first was in 1973. The result of the second referendum was that we leave. Having a third referendum would be ridiculous it would make us look a laughing stock & would play into the hands of the Germans & French. If we voted to reverse the outcome of the second referendum would we have a fourth referendum just to make sure? That's not really right mate, we had a referendum in 1975 and the vote was to remain, the 2016 referendum is over turning that referendum.

This Government is delivering exactly what it's masters at the Mail and the Sun wanted. The rich are still rich the poor are still poor and we are all blaming immigrants and benefit claimants rather than tax dodgers and the elite running the world. So actually against that agenda they are doing very well. It's an interesting take on the constitution that anything in a manifesto becomes law when a party is elected 😨. The whole "we had a referendum" argument would be fine if people hadn't been lied to so badly by Brexiters during the referendum and if those who voted out weren't so fucking thick and so full of manufactured hatred.......

They never for one minute believed that the people of this country still had the backbone to defy their wishes, they are so out of touch it came back and kicked them straight in the bollocks, they deserved it. Cameron went to the EU with a very small wish list he came back with fcuk all, the EU dictatorship had the chance to ensure the remain campaign would win they failed to give them anything now they want to punish us ! I know some of the right wing nutters will jump on me, but the rise in hate crime in this UK is utterly sickening and it's not a myth or false fact. Is it directly linked to Brexit? Possibly, but it's also possibly linked to the fact people are getting desperate.

I think Brexit was always going to completely consume and ultimately sink any administration of any colour. It's an impossible hand, an epic own goal. Nice piece from Alastair Campbell today below, it may be time for some honesty around this topic, what do they really have to lose other than Nigel Farrage running round wetting his pants but that wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing. Campbell on BrexitYour using quotes from Campbell blairs verson of gorbells Face up to it the vote has happened We are leaving Is this in my lifetime?....would be nice to know!

If a party put it in the manifesto then it becomes policy as we the people have voted for it, as we are voting for that party's policies through the referendum there is nothing stopping another referendum legally in fact we can have as many as we want. however if a manifesto said that they wanted us to stay in Europe as we would have voted for that no referendum would be needed A party did. The Lib Dems put a second ref into their manifesto only 4 months ago. Farron gave his keynote speech from a stage decorated in the EU flag. No fucker voted for them. It was the most two party election result in recent memory. Both Labour and the Conservatives had Brexit written into their manifesto's. You're deluded owd son.

You're just - as usual - doing all the things you accuse "the left" of. Today it's skewing figures to suit your own agenda

We've either got one hell of an incompetent police force, or a lot of these 'hate-crimes' aren't hate crimes at all. ... And offence very much taken, what do you mean "Even for you?"

Had a look on Breitbart (figured that was your news site of choice) and while they make some good points, you can easily counter them. For example, question 1, why if the number of hate crimes has gone up, has the prosecutions gone down? Well, possibly because people didn't care to report them in previous years but after the hostility involving Brexit and the various after-terrorist-incident 'revenge attacks', perhaps people have thought it is more important than ever to report them. I'm not saying your point is false, but like most things, it's somewhere in he middle. There are almost certainly genuine hate crimes that aren't prosecuted. Walk up to an Asian man in the street and quietly say into his ear something completely racist. I reckon they'd have a tough time prosecuting that. You might have been asking the time? Prove you said something racist. Doesn't change the fact it's a genuine hate crime. Equally, there are probably reports whereby the 'victim' thinks someone looked at them a bit 'funny' and therefore that is also a hate crime.... Well, no, clearly it isn't. I think the stuff about transgender and disabled people is also quite important. I would imagine those two sets of people have been reluctant to report hostility in the past, but now are feeling it's necessary to do so.

Most of Grenfell residents have been offered permanent places and chose not to take them some of which should of been either deported or locked up for benefits fraud and sub letting permanent places either high up in buildings or outside the borough and therefore away from their friends, jobs, schools, etc The 2nd one is just cruelness. Most of Grenfell residents have been offered permanent places and chose not to take them some of which should of been either deported or locked up for benefits fraud and sub letting The boundaries change has for the first time in years made it more equal Labour has had a unfair advantage for years I haven't heard many on here complain about that As for train tickets for the homeless many of the places mentioned are labour councils it's there choice Did you see inside out London last night They have been offered places away from the area jobs that they have in the borough and the schools that they have children in, they have also been offered flats in high rises (when the physiological impact of this make them unacceptable) they have been offered un secured tenancies that they can be booted out at the end of the contract where they had none of this in the past. there is no evidence that subletting has taken place or people were living there illegally this is just a con put forward by conservative supporters to try and justify the actions of there inept council and government Boundaries changes have and will help the Tories why cut 50 MPS when we need them in the coming years? why allow people to vote in this countries elections when they have left 15 years ago? I'll tell you why the conservatives will do anything to hang onto power just ask the DUP, they even lied to the Queen on forming the government when at the time the DUP were still not on board (at which she was mightily pissed) I notice you don't mention about the increase in homeless though One guy refused accommodation a mile from Grenfell Tower because it was too far away. That's a 20 minute walk. Not to mention London buses. They want to live in inner London of course high rises will be offered. Why is there a feeling of entitlement to social housing ad infinitum? I understand and support a safety net of Government funded social services but they are all suppose to be 'temporary' until the claimant is back on their feet. Please do post the full list of Grenfell Tower residents and their legal/illegal status because no one knows. Here's The Evening Standard reporting an amnesty from the Government, you should call them up and let them know there was no sub letting. Amnesty But here's MP David Lammy saying the death toll of 79 is "far, far too low" Here's a FOI request 115 social rented apartments with "151 main and joint tenants/leaseholders, and 80 other occupants" so 231 in total. Why do "we need them [50 MP's] in the coming years" ? The HoC is far too large as is the HoL. Anyone/political party will do anything to hold onto power, just look at Jezza and McDonut bullying non-Corbynistas, threatening de-selections and lying to Students.

"Hate crime" is a made up, meaningless concept whose definition is so mind-blaggingly arbitrary that it makes me want to puke.
It's purposefully grey so that any act of hostility can be construed as hate crime and promptly censored.
In a free society, the term "hate crime" should be chucked in the bin as a dangerously, borderline tyrannical overreach of authoritarianism.

Strangely we didn't have one to go in, in the first place. All this shite could have been avoided.

Yet more figures today show the government is failing but what do you expect when they cut policing. suppose this is why the police in London wont be recording/ investigating car crime. criminal damage and shoplifting suppose this is one way the conservatives can keep the crime figures down. Crime rises by 13% in England and Wales, ONS statistics say (link) The conservatives soft on crime soft on the causes of crime!! they really are an inept government!
