Wtf. No one thought Boris was a liar before Brexit.
He obviously doesn't truly believe it but the brass neck to say it is at least entertaining and disheartening.

Difficult to say without seeing the follow-up response from Harri, but at the very least he appears to accept what Maitlis quite rightly and accurately summarises which, if he didn't subsequently argue against it, would be fair enough. Trying to claim that Johnson didn't have a reputation for lying before Brexit is nonsense. It may be that even more people now know that he's a liar without scruples, including those who don't follow politics beyond the headlines, but those who did know who and what Bozo was were well aware of his behaviour and what was likely to result. Max Hastings was warning about this for a long time, not just before he became leader of the Tory Party.

www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-65714508.ampYou'd have to worry about Bozo's mental health if this is the lengths he's prepared to go to to get back inside No 10 A Met Police Spokesperson said they had arrested a Portly Fop Haired elderly man who was seen babbling incoherently "but it's my house" as he was led away.

What's the big deal with this? He's already never in the Commons as it is as he's always on holiday or doing speeches in America for personal gain. No one would notice if he was gone for 30 days.

Seriously, what do we think would be the outcome if a nurse only turned up for 3 out of a 190 shifts?
He's still receiving his full MP's salary and people still believe he cares about you and I?
He's an absolute disgrace ...

Far be it for me to suggest that the average Express consumer is either a bit dim or forgetful, but you do have to wonder whether they could do with a reminder that Brexit happened and that this was the principal reason most of them voted for it

That is, essentially, the whole point of the Express/Mail/Telegraph front pages whenever 'bad' news is reported

Today's DT makes for uncomfortable reading for Jeremy Hunt, those who still labour under the misapprehension that only the Tories can run the economy and, much more importantly, anyone with a mortgage.
"Mortgage rates shoot up amid bond chaos"
"Britain's borrowing costs rose to the highest in the G7 for the first time since the 2007 financial crisis as Legal & General, one of the UK's most powerful asset managers, said it had stopped making long term investments in the UK debt market because of economic uncertainty. Market ructions, caused by fears over inflation remaining stubbornly high, have sent borrowing costs surging to levels last seen during Liz Truss's disastrous mini-budget last September. There are inflationary pressure in the UK that are clearly higher than what we see elsewhere in the US or Europe, said Sonja Laud, Chief Investment Officer at Legal & General. The yield on 10 year debt rose to 4.37 percent, putting it above Italy's rate of 4.35 percent. It is the first time British yields have topped the G7 group of advanced economies since the dawn of the financial crisis in 2007. Even at the height of last year's mini-budget fiasco, Italy's borrowing costs were still above Britain's. The increase is a significant challenge to the credibility of Jeremy Hunt, the Chancellor, who sought to present himself as competent economic managers after the chaos of Ms Truss's brief premiership."

Student loan rates have rocketed up as well 😩 Why do so many in the UK not opt for a full fixed rate mortgage?

Student loan rates have rocketed up as well 😩 Why do so many in the UK not opt for a full fixed rate mortgage? Because you can't predict where the market is going and lots of people gamble with their mortgage rates. For example, if you'd fixed in 2006 for ten years, you'd have been paying well over the odds throughout that period when those on variable rates were making the most of the base rate being 0.25%. On the other hand, you have the security and budgeting ability to know exactly what you're paying for the foreseeable future. Horses for course, I guess. For the market to work there has to be winners and losers. Not a judgment on it, just how it is. The market doesn't give a shit about people.

facade continues to fall for this charlatan Several aspects to this. First, wasn't it his own lawyers who handed over the diaries to the police? His own lawyers. Who should know, better than anyone, whether the material is worthy of investigation or not. Second, I found it telling that he was most upset that it wasn't discussed with him first! Why? So potentially damaging material could be accidentally deleted like so many of the Downing St records and Whatsapp messages were? Third, he's already been convicted of breaking the law and he still insists that no rule-breaking went on. He's been found to have done just that! (Same as our current PM incidentally). Fourth, despite his taking ages to come up with an attempt at an explanation and then regurgitating the usual "no rules broken, absolute nonsense, it's a stitch-up" there are probably people who still think he's fit to rule the country

Of course it's for money, but who is he now to be discussing the Ukraine situation.
