When I saw the title I thought it was another Southgate thread !
Yes Rooney is a plonker if this is true.
He could afford a chaufer/minder.
EDIT. Posted before What a plonker was merged.

They don't give a shit though do they because it has so little impact on them it's totally insignificant. If I got banned for drink driving I'd lose my job, probably lose my house (and possibly marriage) have difficulty getting insurance when the ban was up and so become almost unemployable. I know that's a bit extreme but none of this applies to Rooney or any of the other pampered wankers. They could all afford taxi's, chaufeurs, drivers/minders but they don't because they just don't care. They are untouchable and have so much money they can pay their way out of almost any mither. They're the new landed gentry in this new rotten borough.

If I was a footballer I'd employ a driver. I really don't know why they don't. Not just for the drinking and driving risk with all of the functions they attend, but it can't be good for their muscles and ligaments being stuck behind a wheel, rather than sitting in comfort in the back of a huge car.

He will have to serve a driving ban, the minimum term for which will be 12 months, reduced to 9 should they offer him the chance of the drink drive awareness course and should he take it. Edit - if 3 times over the limit is true, his ban will more likely be 18 months with reduction should he be offered the course mentioned above.

He'll pay top dollar, for the finest legal representation in the land and will mor3 than likely get a slap on the wrist and a hefty fine. Prestbury boys club rules. Doubt it....... Driving or attempting to drive while above the legal limit or unfit through drink You may get: 6 months’ imprisonment an unlimited fine a driving ban for at least 1 year (3 years if convicted twice in 10 years) The only way he can get a reduction is if he was in charge of the vehicle but not driving or if he takes an alcohol rehabilitation course, but this has to be offered by the court. His fine will be means tested and is only limited to £2500 if found guilty of the lesser offence of being drunk in charge of a car.
