When you get to my age it is virtually compulsory! EDIT: I can joke about his sexual escapades but drink driving is not a matter for jokes. There is no excuse for anyone to drink and drive. For a multi millionaire who can afford to employ a personal driver or drivers to take him anywhere at any time it is even more disgraceful. I'd ban him from driving for life it I could but the law will probably ensure he'll get a 12 month ban and a fine he won't even notice. 5 years community service working with an ambulance crew on Firday and Saturday nights might be a good punishment. Absolutely on point my friend. There is never an excuse good enough for drink driving, but even less so for a man of Rooney's means, the fact he was taking and young lady home, and didn't call a cab, tells it's own story. What a selfish individual. Most people would really suffer for making such a bad mistake, often losing their job as well as their driving licence, but Rooney won't, he will pay the fine in full on the day of getting it, and employ a driver for the duration of his ban. I get the feeling he will be more concerned with explaining the circumstances to his wife than anything else. The bloke could pay someone 50-60 grand a year to drive him around whenever he needs to have a drink etc and he wouldn't miss it as he is awash with cash, but as you say there is more to this than meets the eye, If she was so drunk that she couldn't drive then why not call her a cab and give said cab driver 30-40 quid to take her home job done, I can only presume he was after getting his end away and by driving her car avoiding a taxi driver going to the press. He's a dirty bastard and can't keep it in his trousers, and mar lady tells me he has a 4th child on the way too! I hope he gets a world of shit thrown at him!!

I notice his wife was away on her almost permanent holidays, in Mallorca, whilst all this happened. While the cats away.............? I'm surprised they are still together. I wonder what she sees in the multi millionaire Rooney?

I'll say this he's ambitious if he thought he could get on the back seat in a VW Beetle, suppose he just wanted to add to their list of dodgy emissions =)
Anyway I expect Coleen to be in the transfer market shortly.

According to the metro... Was spotted drinking in bubble bar alderly edge drinking, dancing on the tables and singing oasis songs with burnley player phil bardsley Was three times over the limit when stopped Sounds like someone has phoned the police and shopped him? I am sure he drives a distinctive car? So probably 6 pints. What kind of idiot drives having drunk 6 pints!!!! Reactions would be so impaired he could easily kill someone. I mean this seriously - he should be jailed for that. He is a danger to society

He'll pay top dollar, for the finest legal representation in the land and will mor3 than likely get a slap on the wrist and a hefty fine. Prestbury boys club rules. Impossible. He will have to serve a driving ban, the minimum term for which will be 12 months, reduced to 9 should they offer him the chance of the drink drive awareness course and should he take it. Edit - if 3 times over the limit is true, his ban will more likely be 18 months with reduction should he be offered the course mentioned above. Three times over the limit, funds a plenty to pay for alternative travel arrangements, if the guy doesn't get a 30 month ban the whole fucking thing is corrupt! Guidelines were that he should get between 23-28 months.

The cops should have followed him all the way home. Let him shag the slapper then nicked him on departure-he would still have been over the limit most probably and the story would have been even bigger.

Drink driving conviction will not effect his entry into the States. Only denied entry if there are multiple DIC/DUI's. Even then for DUI you can get a waiver easily. Someone with Rooney's financial ability, probably already has an investors visa and could get citizenship if he wanted to.

It would cut down the chances for Joe Average to get citizenship to pretty much zero until 3-5 years after the event (or after a ban ends). For Rooney, good lawyers might get him through.

If he goes court he should be asked why he didn't get a taxi. Or uber. Probably because he was on for a shag with the car owner. Not many taxi companies offer that service. Rochdale?

He is a danger to society I would think that to be three times over the limit either he drank a lot more than six pints, or they were six pints of pretty strong ale ( I don't know of any ale that strong, readily available in pubs and clubs). At three times over the limit he must surely be looking at a two year ban and a very hefty fine (minimum). Personally I think that the beaks will be aware of his celeb status, and will not let him off lightly. Prison? I very much doubt it.
