"But in staging it this way it will give the competition both the maximum exposure in the UK, Chinese and South East Asian markets."
How will a 4am draw give it the maximum exposure in the UK?
These organisations don't half come out with some some rubbish

It probably doesn't matter about the time of the draw as it is not being screened or streamed live. The draw it seems wiil be available to read on social media later. The EFL says 'we feel its an interesting move away from the usual post game evening draws'...surely one of the main aspects of any cup draw is hearing your teams number being drawn! An interesting move away my arse.
Maybe this format will prove to be so hugely popular with the UK football fans that the FA Cup draw might take place at 7 p.m in Alaska with no live coverage.
Also its a tad bizarre that the sponsoring company whose products are hardly known in the UK might have thought it was a marketing opportunity to screen the draw at a reasonable UK time. Seems that by not having any live coverage nobody can see the balls up they make of it again...or god forbid they engineer a rigged draw !

Yeah but it's good news for the people of Asia who have all been hanging out for an innovation like this for decades. There's a village a mile from the great Wall of China where they are self sufficient and take turns to milk the cows. They all say they get distressed by living in isolation but the only inspiration they have is maybe one day they can see the league cup draw in the daytime instead of having to get up and seeing on the web who Brentford might be playing.

Hands up, yes I am, I think Cup Draws are ace, major part of the romance of the Cups. Love them on radio, along with Shipping Broadcasts they're by far the best thing for getting off to kip. I have a few on tape for this very purpose.  |
