Headed out to see it at the 10am show - couldn't get a decent seat for the IMAX so I may have to go back for a second viewing!

I've just read an article about it, and IMAX is the only way to see it in the way it was shot.

Saw it last night... still trying to form a conclusion.
Bit of a strange one, certainly a different perspective from the usual. Left feeling like there was more to come.

USA Today gave it 3.5 stars out of 4. So it seems good. Some people off here might want to avoid watching it, though... "The trio of timelines can be jarring as you figure out how they all fit, and the fact that there are only a couple of women and no lead actors of color may rub some the wrong way."

The Germans still have to get to Paris, not to mention invading Russia. Oh, let's not forget their failed attempt to invade England.

I see that the French have already complained about it. I might give it a go. The film, not complaining.

10/10 - although I doubt it will play so well to a US audience. For those of us who grew up with grandparents that fought and lived through WWII I think there is more of an emotional connection. This is not a Saving Private Ryan type movie. I'll go back in a couple of weeks for the IMAX version. Have to admit I did shed a tear at the sound of that RR Merlin engine and the last scene. Highly Recommended.

Yeah worth a watch. Decent cast, although limited script. Possibly more impressive in an IMAX setting. Must admit it wasn't what I was expecting and so left feeling a little wanting. Wasn't much chance to learn a great deal about the characters.

It was a grim time and things got a lot grimmer ......in the end the light at the end of the tunnel grew brighter The professional core of the Army was preserved. This lead to our eventual victory with the Americans. For a certain generation(s)'The Dunkirk Spirit' is entrenched.

Having also watched the 1958 movie of the same name recently I'd say the older one was better though.

I see that the French have already complained about it. I might give it a go. The film, not complaining. That'll do for me then if the French aren't happy. Suppose it didn't portray their usual capitulation in a positive enough way for them. I dread to think how we would cope now with a backs to the wall scenario.
