PALACE SWOOP FOR MARTINS INDICrystal Palace have agreed a deal in principle to sign Porto defender Bruno Martins Indi, according to Sky sources.
The deal for the Netherlands international is subject to the passing of a medical and agreeing personal terms.
Martins Indi spent last season on loan at Stoke City, who were hopeful of signing him again, but their option to sign him permanently expired on July 1.
Martins Indi has one year left on his contract at Porto. 'in principle'? Hmm. It's going to be fun to see them spin their way out of this shitshow.

Surely the only reason we didn't take him up is that we didn't want him?
Can there be any other explanation?
The option was there at a reasonable pre agreed price and we decided not to take it up.
Perhaps we saw zouma as a better option.
Baffling we haven't signed him, but I can't see why else we wouldn't have.

In my view and I don't claim to be in the know, but as I see it, we pissed around trying to be "cute" in the market and secure ourselves Bruno for cheaper than the agreement we had in place to sign him after the loan.
Porto told us to bollocks and upped the price once the option to buy expired.
We ran around like headless chickens trying to find the spare few quid down the back of the sofas to fund the deal being miserly and ridiculous considering how vital he was to the team last season and have now seemingly fucked it up completely by letting him go to palace in trying to save a few quid.
PATHETIC STOKE, PATHETIC!

Wollscheid's pre-season form has clearly put the cat amongst the pigeons. Zouma-Shawcross-big Phill just has the right balance of style and physical prowess.

Suppose it is possible that, although we never said it, BMI always was reluctant to commit as he was aware of interest in him brewing that he favoured.

Weird thing is seems we have to pay 8m for Zouma for 1 season and not own him and not that much more for Bruno and then can potentially sell him for a profit makes no sense even if Zouma seen as better it cant be by much !!! very frustrating if we fuck this one up |
