There’s a few on here don’t want it to happen and would do or advocate someone else doing anything to stop the will of the people IF the MAY DEAL,as currently constituted, was to get through Parliament, who amongst the Brexit supporters here would accept such an end to this saga? I wouldn’t like it But if it’s a straight choice between may’s deal or remain I would choose may’s deal every time

That's fair enough wagastokie. I would not want to accept it either, but it is better than some of the alternative versions put forward.

As long as we get out, I don't give a shit. The EU is a shambles, and won't last 5 years without us. People throughout Europe have seen through it. The project has ruined the continent.

there are different ways of looking at it ( I originally put " a tit". before I edited it, about right for me I suppose!), but for me the EU are much too keen on May's " deal" Perhaps it does not really amount to Brexit? ............. The European Union stepped up pressure on Britain to approve its Brexit deal by ruling out the prospect of piecemeal negotiations on aspects of the divorce to avoid the U.K. crashing out without an agreement. If the U.K. Parliament fails to ratify the withdrawal treaty before the country’s scheduled leaving date of March 29, the EU won’t seek a “managed no-deal,” according to an EU official. Instead, it will take unilateral steps to protect its interests, putting in place a bare minimum of emergency measures, and only if the U.K. reciprocates with its own actions, the person said. Some of the plans are due to be published later this week. www.bloomberg.com/amp/news/articles/2018-12-17/eu-to-rule-out-managed-no-deal-as-bloc-boosts-brexit-planning?__twitter_impression=true The fact that the EU like May’s deal is enough for me to think it’s a crap one for the UK. They haven’t even made an attempt to say they don’t like things in it and more importantly, whilst they’ve made it clear there is no further negotiation for us, the references to our fishing waters for one suggests they haven’t finished with us yet. We will be like a tethered goat whilst the tiger comes in.Just plan and prepare now for as hard a Brexit as is needed and tell them to fuck off.....they never had any intentions of doing a fair deal and our PM knew this, but capitulated. This exactly, when did we become so naive and gullible as a country? To answer my own question, probably since we surrendered our decision making to Brussels

About time, should have started 2 years ago. It was quite clear the EU were never going to concede anything to us willingly. But when the price of German cars, French food, Italian washing machines and furniture all escalate and their sales to the UK start slowing down rapidly, there will falling over themselves in the rush to do a deal. There will be a double effect of WTO duties and lower value of the pound sterling. The only thing we really depend on them for is pharmaceuticals which we need to put special arrangements in place to give priority to import. But the world's 5th and 6th biggest pharmaceutical companies are UK based and the EU are very dependent on us.

Well hopefully 2/3's of Labour MP's will be kicked out at the next one, the fucking traitors! Both main parties will be decimated if the electorate decide to hold them to account! You’re correct momo, but will there be any alternative? Unless some new party forms to stand on a priciple of “ Leave means Leave “ the electorate will be left with the usual choice of options. Even if there was a massive abstention of people voting, it only takes one vote cast to return an MP.

Funny how you describe and allude to the EU as a shambles. I led school trips to Moscow and Berlin in the late 1980s. The USSR really was a shambles from my own experience, and my brief visit to East Berlin was petrifying. I don't think you can really claim that the EU is a shambles compared to the USSR and the Warsaw Pact states

Could sort of understand the 'your area voted leave you should want out' stuff but think this is an issue too serious for this.
Realistically, if 62% of areas voted Leave that shouldn't mean 62% of MPs want Leave, the referendum result wasn't done constituency to constituency. And for many of the Leave areas, it's likely that the people voting in that seat for the GE probably backed Remain as a whole.
The issue is too complicated for 'we should want out'. If no deal was a disaster, or bad (As I think it will be) the blame will be put on politicians for not getting a deal.
Every option has some consequences. It's about picking the one with least.

But to say the EU is a shambles, well, it cannot be compared to the USSR as Jeremy Hunt did recently. More reasoned would be to argue that our own political system is a shambles, what with an unelected Second Chamber and a Privileged Royal Family at the head.

There's only one kind of brexit . Leave it behind , 100% out , no backstop no single market , no customs union . I'm tired of these people in Brussels trying to frustrate our attempts to leave . The more I see the more I'm sure the British people made the right choice There clearly isn’t/wasn’t one kind of Brexit. Maybe for you theee was. The question put to the electorate was to leave the European Union , yes or no . A straight binary choice . The majority said leave . What don't you understand? It's remarkable simple

Not one who thinks leaving the EU is end of the world, but often this "we'll do wonderfully once we're out" is based on assumptions and other shit

Hear hear !! I think this MP has got it spot on and is only saying what a lot of frustrated and furious Leave voters are thinking. Tell the arrogant and condescending EU what we want or they can get stuffed and they can forget our £39 billion ! I think it would certainly focus their attention somewhat.
