She's unelected, she doesn't have a mandate blah de blah Oh, she's calling an election and she might win a massive majority, it's cynicism and against the national interest now. Dear Labour hard left we'd like to introduce you to the electorate prepare for a slap down. Why is it in the national interest today though and at no other point in the past 9 months? That statement was a complete fabrication. Because it ends once and for all the prospect of a second EU referendum and will stop the EU playing silly beggars as otherwise they'd drag brexit out past the 2020 election.

It's no more in the National Interest now than it was after the Brexit vote when it was ruled out, than it was when May took over when it was ruled out, than it was at Christmas when she ruled it and it was last month when she ruled it out. It's pure cynicism. We wouldn't be in this position if the Remoaners had actually respected the referendum result. Morale: Be careful what you wish for. Even the most right wing commentators, including the editor of The Spectator are vocalising what a load of nonsense May's statement was. There is (and never has been) any parliamentary block to Brexit. She's a liar.

Rage does seem to be the permanent mindset of the Lefty.
I know Blair's been airbrushed from history, but some of us who were not blinded by his general election wins (like Hughes's 9th place finishes) remember him saying that he'd been talking to "the big guy upstairs" before he dragged us into a devastating and costly war.
Just think of all the disability cars that would've paid for.
Until the Left start acting with some political maturity, instead of leaving jokey notes about there being no money in the Treasury or spending commitments based on borrowing £1 in every £4, they won't get back into power. Nor will they deserve to.
An election now gives Corbyn and Farron the chance to persuade the electorate that their arguments are right. What's wrong with that?
If Corbyn wins, he can spend all the money he likes, regardless of having no idea of how to generate national wealth.
If Farron wins, he can reverse Brexit, bring in PR and be nice to everybody.

Master stroke on the Tories part. Labour can not win under corbynski, they won't have time to replace him, thus, effectively gaining another 2 extra years. Great news all round.... In Tories we trust.... Trusted to lie! Lied about getting a budget surplus by the end of this parliament! Lied about 5 year fixed term parliaments! Lied about not raising taxes! Lied about protecting the N.H.S.! The list is endless!

The Lib Dems will surprise a few people in this election I reckon, could be the only way of avoiding a massive Tory majority... I've certainly jumped ship to the LibDems from the Tories but there won't be enough of us. I actually quite likes the Tory/LibDem alliance, financial common sense but the unpleasant lunacy of the Tory nut jobs on the right of the party (Gove, Johnson, Fox et al) somewhat tempered by the LibDems. There probably will be enough Ive campaigned over the years for Labour but there is no way I can support them under corbin Ill probably vote Lib Dem and a lot of Labour will

no chance can Labour win this, Lib Dem are irrelevant now along with UKIP and Greens
suspect the SNP may also get a kicking and may not come out of this well, this is a true positive

i'm predicting the lowest turn out ever unless the lib dems manage to galvanise the anti brexit voters.
In normal circumstances I'd be happy with another tory/lib dem coalition, but not whilst we are negotiating our exit.

Also all the bullshit of triggering article 50 needed putting to bed What you mean is if the negotiations for Brexit go badly, the government won't be held accountable by anybody? The E.U. will negotiate what is primarily best for itself and it is irrelevant whether May has a majority of 1 or 101 in parliament! The only bullshit comes from the Tory Eurosceptic and ukipper fraternity!
