What a completely cynical lie of a reason for calling an election. What a horrible, filthy, lying, harridan. It's awesome news. I have already lit a celebratory cigar... More years of economic growth and stability. Just awesome news. Best thing I heard politically since The Trumpster came to power. Dear Old Baroness Thatcher will be so proud of her prodigy. JUST AWESOME AWESOME news.

Master stroke on the Tories part. Labour can not win under corbynski, they won't have time to replace him, thus, effectively gaining another 2 extra years. Great news all round.... In Tories we trust.... Yes a corrupt party that cuts the benefits of the poor and disabled and gives to the rich!!!

(they wont of course) Why run the risk of a vile Tory Dystopian Brexit that works solely for their mates?

there were five cuts that effected all people at the bottom end
No rise in benefits for 5 years meaning an actual cut in benefits in real terms
A fix on housing benefit effecting millions of poor families some only getting 50p throwing the poorest of society on the streets
Invalid benefit cut
Child benefit for a maximum of 2
A cap on benefits pushing a lot of people out of London who have lived there for years technically politically cleansing Labour voters out of the capital
While giving tax cuts for the richest in society

An election is in it the national interests
It's up to labour to win it
Jeremy has been saying he can
If he doesn't the Labour Party and it's members have only thier selves to blame.

Guess she feels she needs a proper mandate to force brexit through.
And best to try and get it now before the reality of brexit hits home and the national mood potentially changes.
Sadly without a sensible pro-EU party its hard to see anything other than a resounding victory for the Tories though.

The Lib Dems will surprise a few people in this election I reckon, could be the only way of avoiding a massive Tory majority...

An election is in it the national interests It's no more in the National Interest now than it was after the Brexit vote when it was ruled out, than it was when May took over when it was ruled out, than it was at Christmas when she ruled it and it was last month when she ruled it out. It's pure cynicism.

If the parties can't let the government sort out the arrangements without fucking moaning and trying to block everything then she needs a mandate Or Corbyn needs a mandate. Labour backed her into a corner thinking she wouldn't budge. She did they are fucked

The Lib Dems will surprise a few people in this election I reckon, could be the only way of avoiding a massive Tory majority... I've certainly jumped ship to the LibDems from the Tories but there won't be enough of us. I actually quite likes the Tory/LibDem alliance, financial common sense but the unpleasant lunacy of the Tory nut jobs on the right of the party (Gove, Johnson, Fox et al) somewhat tempered by the LibDems.
