I know you're not being rude about it but I could be equally dismissive about people who believe absolutely everything on mainstream news. Their first reaction to those with an alternative theory is often to ridicule them as daft as though suggesting a conspiracy theory is in itself stupid. What we need to understand is the truth in a world of special interests - that is all it is, and there is nothing stupid about that. Jim Fetzer researched Sandy Hook in detail, as did Alex Jones. In Fetzer's case he says there is no proof of the school being open after 2008, so he obviously looked for any kind of record of it being open. Surely it cannot be difficult to establish if a school is open if you look in detail at financial records and so on. For him to be wrong on that he'd have to be making it up. As for footage, one camera crew was photographed at the school the morning of the "shooting". I don't know what Obama's involvement or knowledge of it was. Obviously the mainstream news gets things wrong sometimes, but they also have get lots of facts right while Alex Jones' show is a stream of verbal diarrhea from a nutjob attention whore whose flaming stream of diahrrea-like bullshit led to a sad vulnerable person shooting up a pizza place. There's no comparison. While the delusionists say the school was closed, it was given money in the town budget, the school web page was archived, the local newspaper has a bunch of stories including the visit of this children's author, a learning charity thanked the school for its help and another charity has photos of their visit to the school on the charity's facebook page. So as well as the parents we have independent charities, the school budget, local journalists, Facebook photos from 2011 and 2012 and visiting authors who all say the school was open. Do you still believe the conspiracy theorists when they say it was closed? Your facts are making his beliefs stronger. youarenotsosmart.com/2011/06/10/the-backfire-effect/

Thanks for posting the links, on holiday this weekend, I'll reply when I have time to look at it next week. Not sure it's right to call someone a delusionist because they don't believe a mainstrwam media story.

"A woman who brought a rape case against Trump (twice) withdrew her suit in November" "In 2012, he won a $5 million suit against a former contestant who claimed the contest was rigged." "They sued the Justice Department for $100 million. In the end, however, the Trumps settled with the government, promising not to discriminate and submitting to regular review by the New York Urban League—though crucially not admitting guilt." "Though Trump has been questioned in court or under oath about the ties, he’s never been convicted of anything." "In November 2016, Trump agreed to settle a series of lawsuits related to the school for $25 million." "Trump gave in. He settled with tenants and agreed to monitoring. The building still stands today, and his son Eric owns a unit on the top floor." "In 1991, a federal judge found Trump and other defendants guilty of conspiring to avoid paying union pension and welfare contributions for the workers. The decision was appealed, with partial victories for both sides, and ultimately settled privately in 1999." And a host of dodgy casino and real estate deals. Not particularly surprising with those two industries. But NONE of this while he was a Government Official. Attachment Deleted

You're getting snide over this, and there's no need. I like that comic but we need to understand that it's for all of us. Our brains are constantly trying to trick us because they want us to feel like we're right. Learning to man up and admit you're wrong sometimes is good for you and I think we should forgive "flip flopping" politicians more than we do. Luckily for me, my job makes it very obvious when I fuck up so I get constant reminders

At least he's not shouting to lock him up, and encouraging the people there to be violent... Trump's planned budget out today. Exactly as everyone expected, the poor lose a lot - $800 bn in healthcare, plus meals on wheels etc. The good bit is increasing the tax free income threshold. Winners are the military, and especially the super rich. Despite saying "America first", the plan only taxes profits made in America, pushing investment to foreign countries where it's not taxed. Won't be passed like this, but it looks just as expected: trillions of dollars for corporations and the richest, a fraction of that for normal workers, and lots of cuts for poor people.

You mean the intelligence services that are still trying to fit him up with that Russian bullshit who are leaking to an anti Trump newspaper to make him look bad while he's out of the country. Don't worry. They'll all be taking the 5th when Daddy gets home :-)

I feel better now...I just tweeted the cunt... Please don't fly the Union flag the wrong way up! The broader (wider) diagonal white stripe should be at the top on the side of the flag nearest the flagpole. The UK flag is NOT entirely symmetrical! Nearest the flagpole is the key here, not left or right, as the wind blows either way NEAREST THE FLAG POLE... Attachment Deleted

In other news, Macron rolls out the red carpet for Putin at the Palace of Versailles for "one on one" talks. A different approach to when Macron accused Ms Le Pen of being “subject to the diktats of Mr Putin” when Le Pen was ahead in the polls? "We are being vigilant about any attempts by foreign powers to influence this election,” said a senior French intelligence official.
Maybe the intelligence official was watching the wrong candidate?
