By the way, this extract from a BBC story this morning is interestingβ¦ Weβve seen redaction used by the SNP during the Alex Salmond trial as a way to avoid reasonable scrutiny, so this action does raise an eyebrow to me at least. Much better for full (or fuller) declaration than obfuscation. Isn't the reasonable argument that to divulge the affidavit would prejudice the case. It's going to be a pretty strong case because of the profile of the individual otherwise it wouldn't have been signed. If for example it says we need a search warrant to prove that secret documents including nuclear were being sold/used to foreign states as leverage for personal gain. The roof would blow off. |
