Didn't Trump say something along the lines of " I could shoot someone on 5th avenue and people would still vote for me" , he's definitely not wrong. Trouble is politics have become nothing more than tribalism and your side "winning" . Red vs Blue , perceived good vs perceived bad and no one wants to give any ground to the opposite "side". Trump could be found guilty of murder and he wouldn't lose any votes, Biden could be found guilty of being a nonce and he wouldn't lose any votes because the people that are on "team" Joe or team Donald don't want to give the other "team" the satisfaction. Same over here with Labour and Torys. Personally I'm neither, I dislike the Torys but I also dislike Labour, but I'd happily vote Tory just to "stick it" to the Labour voters and I'm sure many would do the same in reverse. Identity politics is what's causing a lot of the division in society, too many people are too married to their ideas and can't think critically, you only have to look at certain posters on this board to see it plain as day Trouble is, when you vote tory you're "sticking it" to yourself and everyone who wants decent public services. Oh well , rather that than be woke

The redacted warrant makes interesting reading. That's a lot of Secret, Top Secret and SCI, (sensitive compartmented information) Not to mention an interesting document about the President of France.

If only the US justice department took the same action against Hillary If only there was a politician that campaigned on a platform of locking her up. Given his power over the judiciary in his term why didn't it happen? Perhaps because despite thousands of hours of investigation no one could create a case that might stand scrutiny? Or are we awaiting the QAnon second coming and they have the gallows ready at Guantanamo?

So the tango shit gibbon had over 300 classified documents stashed away then. Completely normal. His argument is that they were declassified (admittedly by him). So it’s not whether he had 300 or 3,000 it’s what the documents are that matters. Which means, as far as I can see, that Trump ends up with a suitable conviction following a due public process. That is necessary to justify the action the FBI undertook. By the way, this extract from a BBC story this morning is interesting… We’ve seen redaction used by the SNP during the Alex Salmond trial as a way to avoid reasonable scrutiny, so this action does raise an eyebrow to me at least. Much better for full (or fuller) declaration than obfuscation.

I wouldn’t put it past the idiot
Did Clinton do something similar with her personal e mail/server or were those docs not classified?

I wouldn’t put it past the idiot Did Clinton do something similar with her personal e mail/server or were those docs not classified? Yes, she did, hence the "Lock her up, lock her up" chants at rallies attended by Trump goons. Not quite so keen on that chant now, you'd suspect, although they probably wouldn't get the comparison! There are key differences between Trump's actions and those of Clinton, as you might expect. This explains it quite well: www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2022/comparing-hillary-clintons-emails-and-donald-trumps-boxes-of-files/

I thought other posters on here stated that quantity and excuse for possession outside of mandated state servers was an offence. I’m not trying to defend Trump as he’s a buffoon and an idiot but there does appear to be a political bias to the action against him, just as Trump had with those stupid “lock up” populist nonsense.

You're welcome. As the article suggests, there is a key difference between the two cases. Neither of them come out smelling of roses, but Trump smells more of horse manure! Whether any charges result, who knows? I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't.

It's all about Ron DeSantis. The man to defeat bozo Biden and lead the West into the war on woke. A total class act who the Liberal left are terrified of. As described by many, he's "Trump with a brain". Given we know the media and wokies struggled to handle Trump, I'd say its exciting times ahead 😊
