I along with many WBA fans think that the SB purchase may be a massive millstone around Hughes' neck. For all his potential, it has been a long, long time since he looked like a match-winner. SB needs to get match fit and his head together, but exposing his current weaknesses (as he was in his cameo today) will set him back even further. Mmm, I'm agreeing (with an Albion tosser ) I said in another post that I thought he'd benefit from a intensive fitness regime and a couple of games with the U23's to sharpen him up.

Affy not a winger. Correct! He's spent a large portion of his career as a wide man. The problem with him now is not that he can't play there, but that he needs a whole lot more game time after his serious injury, before he has the physical means and the confidence to play as if he was Stan. But he'll get thereabouts, with patience on our parts. He played there a lot when he was younger and had pace and trickery. Over the years, he's picked up a number of serious injuries and, as a result, lost a lot of pace. Since then, he's been converted to a CM/CAM. He's not a winger anymore.

Why do I get the feeling that MH is getting more and more out of his depth? He already has Imbula to sort out, which may well be impossible, and Berahino on top of that could put an end to his career, at Stoke at least. Sir Peter will not be amused.

For 7 months, it was kept under wraps and no one knew about it but just a couple of days before we're about to play them, conveniently there was an "accidental leak". Even if you believe in coincidences, you'd be foolish to think there wasn't more to it. Was the story intentionally released before the game just to mentally unsettle Saido?

Good detective work.

By the way Hughes and Pulis acted towards each other at the end you have to think there is more than a possibility it was deliberate Pretty scummy TBH but, as seems always, TP got the result against us. Twat (TP not you BTW!)

The most devious, vindictive man in football, don't you know? It was a low down dirty trick to play, whoever let the story out. Hate the thought of West Brom getting the better of us, they used to be such generous neighbour's!

You'd of thought with what Charlie has said there and the managers comments after the game that we'd of been well up for it Saturday.
Shame we rolled over and had our bellies tickled by Pulis again.

Just about to post the same mate Did we really roll over and have our bellies tickled? As frustrating as it was, and I was as angry as anyone, there was no lack of effort and we created more than enough chances to have not only drawn the game but even won it. Pieters, Allen, Arnie and n'goy should all have scored and ryan hit the post.

Post game comments from both Ryan and Charlie perhaps give an insight into how popular pulis really was with the senior players he left behind here.

Could there be an FA investigation? I gather it's their policy for anonymity for a recreational drug and clearly it's been leaked against that. Love to discover who did it.

Adam has simply got an unbalanced agenda against Pulis, it's clear that's all there is to it ...

We're constantly being told what a top bloke he is, I mean it's very hard to believe a professional footballer who worked directly with him for quite a while could actually have an insight into his true personality, that'd be a preposterous thing to believe.

Berahino is a gamble that must come off for Hughes, if not it could as you say be the end for MH and TP will be vindicated. All signings are a gamble from Bojan and Joselu to Martins Indi and Grant. Some will take more time than others to adjust, some will just show glimpses of their potential. Some just don't work out. The money involved in this transfer is low risk imo He's only been here for a couple of weeks

Even if you believe in coincidences, you'd be foolish to think there wasn't more to it. Was the story intentionally released before the game just to mentally unsettle Saido? The story was with the Daily Mail 4 weeks ago, theyve released the story the day before the game because thats when it will create the biggest reaction. Youve all fallen for it hook, line and sinker and continue to believe TP is the nasty man in all this. I do come in peace though as an Albion fan, fact of the matter is Berahino is at fault for all of this, he took the drugs, he got the ban, he was spouting on social media he was fit to play and doesnt know why he isnt playing when all along he was banned. He made it clear he wanted out so why would the club play him anyway especially after his actions??? Why should the club stand back and get ridicule because a player is lying about the club and how it had treated him or why they didnt play him? I dont think Albion could have acted any better toward Berahino personally. He has been to fat camp twice this season and still looks hugely overweight, how that can be when Pulis is renowned for his keeping his players fit is beyond me but only serves to prove that Berahino is the fault. Im sorry to say but I think you may have wasted your money on this guy. I do honestly hope he can turn his career around, if he can get back the 2 years he has wasted you have a guy who is a great finisher and has great movement Im not sure he has the mental ablility to make it though
