I think its more of a 'must show some effort' game - if we give our all but lose by the odd-goal (likely via another Ref faux pas or flukey deflection) then I think we may still turn the corner. If we get tonked after another capitulation then, well lets not even contemplate that scenario...

Roger Kirkpatrick? If only he was still alive great ref Bloody hell I went to that game at Stamford bridge , the reason I remember it was at one point somebody threw an orange from the crowd at one of the players , Kirkpatrick blew up stopped the game , slowly walked 20 yards picked up the orange , looked at it polished it on his vest smiled and put it in his pocket . Never forget it brilliant from roger . The crowd cheered him

I agree, we need to put in a strong shift and get back some confidence and self respect, It would be nice if we clawed back some of that negative Goal Difference though.

Whatever the result, win lose or draw, the players need to show pride and commitment and are up for the fight, if not, and we get another heavy defeat, I'm afraid something will have to be done, Tell Hughes to sort it, or shift out,I would love to see Hughes sort it out, but if he can't then he will have to go,we cant hang around too long hoping things turn out for the better, by then it could be too late. So come on Sparky, get Stoke moving up the table, and shut up all those wanting fecking Pulis back.

We need to win this game. The players need to show fight and commitment because losing is not an option. A draw we could take and a clean sheet is needed

I reckon we'll draw this weekend, then TP's lads will beat us 1-0 at home.

It been delayed for some reason, refs usually announced on a Monday. Perhaps struggling with finding ten who haven't made game changing errors.

It's definitely a 'must-not-lose' game.
Our record in London (in the PL) is pretty shocking over the past 18 months though, if I recall. No wins?

If we get tonked after another capitulation then, well lets not even contemplate that scenario... We can't afford another loss of any kind. We've got to pick up some points to keep up with the pack. Two or three more defeats and all of a sudden we're cut off and others are looking at us as the team who are occupying the foot of the table and are struggling, like we have looked at Villa and Newcastle in the past. I wouldn't say must win but I would say must not lose.

Roger Kirkpatrick? If only he was still alive great ref I would respect Anthony Taylor a lot more if he styled his hair like this guy instead of trying to look like Collina.

Benteke'll sink us, then Pulis will stick the knife in and it's curtains for Sparky. Can't see it happening any other way

I can see us losing this, as Palace is often a tough ground for us. This should not be the end for Hughes, as the kinder run of games then on until December 3rd should give us a chance to recover, and he deserves the opportunity to preside over such recovery.

Ordinarily I would agree with you Jez, I was one of the few that was happy to see him replace Pulis. My problem is he showing absolutely no indication that he's learning from his mistakes.
Massive game on Sunday... Absolutely massive.

Must show a huge reaction. Think you got a little obsessed with Sir Peter's transfer tackle over the summer onlooker. Oh apologies it says 'reaction'!

Looks like Shaqs out (again) if MH picks Walters again then he'll only have himself to blame if supporters turn on him after Saturday.

As long as we don't lose I'm happy, we didn't win any the games last year which we have played already, and nothing from this fixture so a point I'm happy with (I'd like to say a decent performance is a must though)

Absolutely massive game for Stoke this. I can't bare the thought of losing again and so on. It's very frustrating because the squad we have, is good enough to damage teams and score goals. Something isn't right at the club.
