You just know we'll end up with Ki when the Welsh bastards steal him from us. Wouldn't mind that at all.

So Bojan was excellent last year? Have you considered a career in politics? I'll counter your answer with a question with another question, did he score 7 goals by fluke? No, he's a cracking player but he was well below par for the most part last season. If you go back to my original post on Bojan you'll notice that my point was he may find himself on the bench if his form doesn't pick up. But, as per usual, you've turned it into another one of those futile point scoring tête a têtes you're so fond of. Whatever floats your boat.

Talking to two Liverpool season ticket holders at work and neither of those want him to leave. They both said he was right up there with their best players last season.

As with Berahino the odds seem stacked against this deal (due to the players probable desire to go 'home')....however the fact that I have severe doubts that either would be a good signing probably means they will go through!!

I like the fact he's british and will come straight in no problem and do well from the off, as well as having the british tenacity which we lack at present

The more I hear that a lot of Pool fans want him to stay the more inclined I am to think he could be a decent signing.
I was never a big fan but perhaps his renaissance under Klopp and particularly with Wales shows he could be a major asset.
I will return to being not a fan if he signs for Swansea.

Is there anything concrete saying he prefers swansea? Going back to a former club isn't always the best option He grew up about 30-40 mins away from Swansea. I imagine it is a bit like Wilko having the choice of Stoke or Swansea. If Swansea put in a bid that is! Not necessarily I believe he lives in Cheshire, if his family are settled and we are offering more money then the pull to go home might not be as strong as many believe. Don't under estimate the power of a better wage, footballers have very short careers and he will want a deal that sets him up best, at 26 this is likely to be his last chance at earning good football money at 29/30 sometimes they have to settle for a little bit less unless your a big name. Swansea have been very hit and miss and there is unrest between the fans and board over their transfer / manager dealings if he thinks Swansea are in the slightest danger of going down he will choose us.

Berahino is from Birmingham Allen / Swansea I meant. Berahino is probably thinking Stoke aren't such a bad option now (although originally I doubt he would have given us a second glance) but Mr Peace is the very persistent fly in that ointment.

Plenty of time for Swansea to join in then Liverpool bid for Wijnaldum and he's had a medical the same day It's like we've got a football manager filter on, "must be a long drawn out transfer saga, can not be completed before 50 pages on the oatcake are filled"

Dave Kitson? meaning he doesn't have to adjust to English football. Just got a feeling he'll be an instant hit at stoke

Why put the bid in so early giving Swansea 5-6 days to get something together. Wasn't the plan we'd act really quickly not giving them the opportunity.

It's not just him though, either we're incompetent or we're just unlucky, bids for Berahino and Allen have been placed, both are waiting for circumstances out of our control to decide if they come here, it seems like other teams get deals done quickly and we're not able to

We are waiting for circumstances out of our control. So we can't do anything about it. We've just been really unlucky. If WBA had signed a striker earlier in the window, Berahino would be here by now.
