The kiddies won 10-0 in their final group game! You got a link to where you're getting the results? The website is a bit crap. I downloaded the app and it's much better. Has the players on there as well! The app is called MicLive

The u12s beat Sabadell 2-0 and now have Real Madrid in the quarters. Unfortunately lost 6-0 to Real Madrid this morning. It's worth noting that Real Madrid beat a Japanese side 17-0 in their first game! Also, according to the app they had 12 players on their bench whereas Stoke only had 3. So it seems they had a much bigger squad, which would make sense as the tournament was in Spain.

The u18s drew 1-1 with Norwich away the other day. Wara with the goal. They remain unbeaten since the league was split.
Interesting to see Danny Jarvis was with the squad before the game today. He's a very good footballer. One of those that may never make it but he's got so much quality and it will always shine through.
He's an attacking midfielder but needs to add a bit more in terms of end product to his game.

He made some superb saves, one in particular from an Arnie free kick was outstanding.

He just goes about things well, doesn't make mistakes, seems good under the high ball and is very understated with how he plays. Which I like. I'd like to see him out on loan next season.

So the season for the U-23s has finished.
I think it's fair to say it's been a mixed bag. The results in the league have been hit and miss. We seemed to draw a lot of games we should have won. With that we finished second bottom of the league. But then we've won the Staffs Senior Cup, a first since 1999 and even if it was through having no one else (not a dig at the players) 3 players have got on the bench of the first team. And hopefully those 3 can push on next season and carry that on, they deserve to and are good enough. We've also managed to quite a few out on loan with varying success which again is good. Sweeney's loan obviously being the stand out.
So all in all I think they should be quite proud of themselves. They're making the correct impressions and there's definite signs of improvement in the quality we have.

Is Jowl Taylor back with us?. Could Sweeney in theory play in our last 3 games? I would have thought he is and I don't see why not? Sorry to be vague. The logical answer is yes to both.

Why did Taylor not even make the match day squad at Rochdale. Is he that bad?

Good stuff! I'm sure I've been told we've signed 2/3 from Ireland for next year. The doubt comes in the number not what I've been told! It looks like he started in their 1-0 defeat to Serbia today. Never known us to have 2 youth players in a UEFA youth competition?
