I never participate in this thread so don't know all that much about it.
I have watched Verlinden though and the lad looks the part, could do with either benching for Shaq's absence or at least bringing him into the Stadium before the matches like they do with the keepers on occassion to start his integration, easily looks like the best prospect so far from the younger group.

Looks like it finished 5-2, with Greenidge completing his hat-trick

Any ideas on who scored for the u-23s?
Apparently Tom Edwards got 4 assists for the u-18s as well.

I read a tweet from the Man City academy tweeter saying Castle were being considered as contenders for the title and then we've dismantled them. Bloody ace!

At home, I hope it'll be at the Brit! Think FA youth cup games have to be at the main stadium?

We've recalled Jake Dunwoody. Where from? Not someone I've ever heard mentioned before. What kind of player is he?

We've recalled Jake Dunwoody. Where from? Not someone I've ever heard mentioned before. What kind of player is he? From Leek. He's only just turned 18, been at the club for a few years now. He's a good footballer who isn't scared of putting his foot in. He's done well at Leek and coped with the physicality of that league. He's one who can link the defence and attack.

Another one to keep tabs on then, just need some of these to either show they're good enough or be given a chance now then. These days a lad of 18 is expected to be world class or he'll never make it, hopefully none of the younger ones are rushed through though.

He struggled in his first few games, and was in and out of the team. Thats to be expected though as going from u18's to mens football is a big jump and the games at that level are fast and furious, you have hardly any time on the ball as he found our very early on. But he got better as his time progressed there without doubt and the experience will have done him good. He certainly likes to put a tackle in and get on the ball. He could go on and play at a good level IMO. He liked to get forward too, so if he could add more goals to his game as well then that makes him even more of an asset.
