Karen Brady is a Tory Dame and presumably the Dildo Twins also support the Tories. Don't forget St Peter donate to the Labour Party so fair dos all round.

The Labour Party didn't have an olympic stadium to bestow. It all looks very dodgy regardless of this "best option" business no ones ever going to convince me the rent had to be that low.

That's about £12,000 more than they'll be paying for a state of the art 60,000 seater stadium every year.

Is it West Ham or West Ham's owners who have donated? Whatever, it is considerably less than St Peter has donated to Labour over the years - not that I have a problem with that, he can do what he wants with his money as far as I am concerned.

People and organisations give money to the party they think will represent them best it's hardly rocket science, as stated earlier St Peter donates to the Labour party (and it's a lot more than 12.5k), you can agree or disagree but it's legal and normal.

This figure relates to a single transaction. David Gould, his daughter and Brady have directed funds way in excess of this amount to the tories.
It's all public information and freely available
There should be a public enquiry into why the uk taxpayer is funding a premier league football teams stadium in a time when we are all supposed to be in it together.

The tight bastards, £12,500 is exactly 1 day of Andy Carroll's pay, its a decent cause but that won't help

Before we get too pious, i'm sure the timing of perfectly legal donations to the Labour party by our owners before and after the introduction of the 2005 gaming act were just as coincidental and the taxpayer suffered no loss at all by allowing the gaming industry to be moved offshore.

It's legal and normal but that doesn't make it right. As a London council tax payer, I've subsidised West Ham so why didn't West Ham give the £12,500 to the council tax payers instead?

Difference being peter coates donated to labour out of his own pocket.
This is West Ham's money, which comes from many of their labour supporters.

It's late but i'm still here - you funny fucker!! Can't say as I'm impressed but Lady Brady is a Tory peer - end of and £12.5K is no more than a decent lunch in the world of our Political leaders. As others have mentioned, Coates is more than up for greasing the wheel when it suits. Football is big business with massive revenues and if anyone thinks it's exempt from gratuities and inducements - they're all at it!!

The Labour Party didn't have an olympic stadium to bestow. It all looks very dodgy regardless of this "best option" business no ones ever going to convince me the rent had to be that low. In a one horse race where the other party (LOCOG) played their hand very early (wouldn't demolish it, needed regular use) WHU were basically able to bend them over and get a fantastic deal. Don't blame the hammers it's shit negotiation by the powers that be are to blame Edit -not LOCOG, the legacy committee

The choice of political party is the main crime! Let's not forget that England has never failed to be majority Conservative. Labour governments are provided by Welsh and Scottish votes. The right-on members of this board might reflect that they are, and have always been, an English minority and do not speak for the majority. Not that that's going to stop them pretending otherwise.....
