Arnie declares his future is at Stoke! Wonder did his medical record influence?

If Arnie goes and it seems to be happening now, I won't be joining in the abuse or "giving it both barrels". He has been a good player for us and while it disappoints me that he's seemingly moving for the cash, there's no point in aiming vitriol at him. Rather a quiet thank you, goodbye and not the big reception he could have got on his return. Surely that's the point though, it's got to be a money move looking from the outside, so I would understand people's frustration Similar to Bego going to Chelsea, he was lucky to get the number of games he did, but that was because Courtois got sent off and injured I wouldn't mind Coleman or Mirallas coming the other way though. Arnie and up to £10m for them two I would take straight away Fuxache.....you seriously think Coleman would come to Stoke????

Will see out his contract and then fuck off for nothing with a big signing on fee. Would rather he goes now, make a profit and use it to buy someone who wants to play for us and has no delusions of being better than he is.

Isn't he one of the two dudes who penned the opposite article in the Mail yesterday? Credibility obviously isn't something that worries him!

If he didn't go now, he'd go next year might as well get some cash. Lets face it he's not the best, he's replaceable and can easily be marked out of a game by tight marking, he gets frustrated and doesn't try Doesnt try? Another absolute bollox post.

"Everton, meanwhile, remain in talks over Marko Arnautovic but Stoke have also offered the Austrian a new contract." but he writes for the Daily Mail and I expect that your statement is 100% true.

As good as he is on his day, am I the only one that thinks he is far too inconsistent to be going around demanding wages far above his station? The guy is our best player?!!!

As Marc said, it's agreed in principle. Everton bid forced our hand a little as the two sides were a little apart in their expectations. I've heard that he'll become one of the best paid players at the club (rightly so!). For me this is the best piece of business in the window, regardless of who else walks through the door before September. Shows the footballing world that we're not a selling club and that we won't fuck around. Great statement of intent!

Interestng how our most reliable and British players are happy to resign. Glen, Charlie, Walters (who rightly wanted an extent in in length and not wages) What the fook has that got to do with anything?

Why?. Would you prefer Stoke to chuck 12 mil down the shitter?. The fact that his brother was at Clayton Wood yesterday suggests he is prepared to sign a new contract. If he wants to sign for Everton (or any other club prepared to meet his release clause) he is free to do so. If he wants to wind his contract down he can do so without his brother having to meet with Tony Scholes. That fact that his brother IS talking to the club suggests a new contract is about to be signed.

Thanks for the info Deal agreed with his agent/brother aside from a few dotted i's and crossed t's, as Marc mentioned. I'd imagine that it'll be done when we get back from the States. Both sides very keen on getting it wrapped up though, so could be sooner. He won't be going anywhere it seems at this stage though (crosses fingers and toes!)!

This would make for a decent window as has been said takes out the perception we can be picked off , and when you add Allan and Sobi we would have a decent chance of an incremental window.
Striker and centre half would make it the best window since promotion for me but still a way to go but progress non the less so credit where credit is due.

Have you heard anything else? Not heard much else at the moment. Just that West Brom have fucked us around re: Berahino. I can see us moving on tbh! Very chuffed about the Allen deal. He'll be top class (and he's Welsh! ) Was told about a few deals being 'close' last week. I'm assuming that they were Sobhi and Allen. Nothing new to report, sorry.

Can't believe some of the bullshit comments on this thread, some posters really are deluded. For me, Arnautovic has more than earnt the right to be one of the top earners at the club based on his performances. He's one of those players that can have a shite game but his pitch presence alone can win you games. Losing Arnautovic would be a massive backwards step for this club. I hope to god we can get it done.
