To me the evidence so far reveals he's more likely to stay than leave.
1) His attitude has been professional and performances fantastic, not an easy thing to do if someone is "distracted" 2) Comes back early to training and doesn't hand in a transfer request, which would've been easy to do before going on tour 3) He's not once come out and said he wants to leave, if anything, he's said how much he likes it here
The only reason we're talking as if he's going is due to a dodgy and quite frankly horribly written Austrian article. Yes, he hasn't signed a new contract yet but I would say it's looking more likely than him leaving, imo.

I'm in 2 mind's about this business with Everton, one side 12 million for a player we paid 2 to 3 million. In the last year of his contract, who still as of yet has not accepted a new one is good business.
Also I think Arnies performances for us, sum up our whole team for the last 2 seasons, inconsistent, look like world betters one minute and the next look like we haven't a clue.
One the other hand though he's a great character and I and the Majority of the fans love him, added to the fact he's been top goal scorer for the last 2 seasons for us also states hes one of,if not our best player.
If he does in fact go, who's out there to take his place, I've got no problem with the lad moving on to bigger and better things just like Nzonzi, but Everton feels like a kick In the balls. Also if anything it's a backwards step for Arnie,in the way that he'd be joining a team in transition and starting a new project, just like he did with us 2 years ago, i don't see his logic if he did

If he goes Everton its purely a 'financial' move and not a 'footballing' move in my eyes.
When he said he wanted champions league football, it was fair enough if he left for someone in it. But to move to Everton after saying that is like a slap in the face.
I will still wish him all the best though, as he's been fantastic while he's been here.

I just can't see Everton as being a big enough attraction for him. I reckon he will stay and sign a new contract, hopefully with a more sensible release clause.

So if arnie is going to everton, Who do we get in now as a replacement? sure it said yesterday that Sobhi can play on the left wing? I might have made this up though

Yes, he hasn't signed a new contract yet but I would say it's looking more likely than him leaving, imo. Agree with all of this and add in to why Everton? He's stated that he wants to play Champions League football. Why move to Everton who maybe be bigger club than us but compete on the same level, mid table to an outside shot of Europa league. He's as likely to get that here as there. He will be a first team regular here, will he there? He's loved by the vast majority of fans here, will he there? So it all boils down to money, are they really offering that much more than us? I've got a feeling that if Everton have met his release cause, he's using their contract to make us equal it but he'd rather stay here

I think Arnie peaked last season and will be only playing at this level for another season. The intensity of his style of play surely means he won't be able to play into his 30s at such a level. Nonsense. He's 27, usually the time player a player hits his peak. I'm not saying I want him to leave but I don't think he is going to be the player he was last season for years to come.

If he does leave The important thing is finding a better replacement , we had a similar situation when Lawrence left signing pennant calmed things down very quickly We've just signed Ramadan

If Arnie goes and it seems to be happening now, I won't be joining in the abuse or "giving it both barrels". He has been a good player for us and while it disappoints me that he's seemingly moving for the cash, there's no point in aiming vitriol at him. Rather a quiet thank you, goodbye and not the big reception he could have got on his return. Yeah, you're right to be fair. I really like him but I don't think he deserves any sort of legend status from a football perspective, certainly a great personality though.

The contract we are offering has a very high release clause and he doesn't want it to be that high.
The extra money isn't as big a deal as it is made out to be.

Surely that's the point though, it's got to be a money move looking from the outside, so I would understand people's frustration Similar to Bego going to Chelsea, he was lucky to get the number of games he did, but that was because Courtois got sent off and injured I wouldn't mind Coleman or Mirallas coming the other way though. Arnie and up to ÂŁ10m for them two I would take straight away

If Arni leaves my main feeling will be sorrow.
He can play brilliantly sporadically. So when he messes up I forgive him because I know what he can do, which is win matches for us.
If he goes to anyone else I think he is going to mess up his career big time. If he did, I'd forgive him for leaving us and welcome him back anytime.

We've just signed Ramadan He has potential for sure , he can play either wing . Is he coming in as cover at the moment Possibly Harry, but from what I've seen of him, I doubt he will be the kind of character to be happy sitting on a bench. seems strange that armies bro came in for talks straight after he'd signed. maybe he was asked not to leave until we were sure we'd got a replacement. Wohld love him to stay

We need another if Arnie is off

Fucking hell, a move to Everton is nothing more than side stepping, perhaps even going backwards.
Money talks......Again.
Greedy bastard.
Of course I'm jumping the gun but transfers like this make my piss boil.

It's obviously all about money, we wouldn't pay what he wanted ,so he is off. Think Everton fans are deluding themselves if they think the new owners are going to spend a fortune to make them Champions League contenders, they buy clubs to make money, they won't be spending loads unless they sell other players. Give me the Coates family any day, they have Stokes best interests at heart.

I cannot see why Arnautovic would sign for Everton rather than stay at Stoke. At this stage I believe Arnautovic would require European football and he will get it at neither. If he goes just to get more money he is IMO making a mistake. I have always sat on the wall when making an opinion about Marko. One thing for certain is that I have never been pleased by his body language when playing. Of course he is capable of doing something brilliant but there again he is also capable of doing something awful. He was top scorer last season but he also missed some sitters. I am totally indifferent to whatever happens!

I'm not really that fussed if he goes or not to be honest. My only concern is Stoke City and if he doesn't want to play for us anymore then he's better moving on. Yes we'll miss his goals which must be replaced but i won't really miss his, at times arrogant attitude that you sometimes get with these maverick types. He's never been my cup of tea to be honest. Yes he's exciting to watch 'sometimes' but for me there haven't been enough of those 'times' consistently over the time he's been here. He'd be better off staying for his career though I think but as usual money talks.

When he first came here he was struggling for form and his position in the side, stoke have in some respects turned his career around with their patients and encouragement. For him to now turn around and potentially say he wants a move to Everton is imo disgraceful and shows how petulant he can be.if he stays then great but I won't be one to morn his loss to Everton
