Always been a big Arnie fan, defended him a lot 18 months-2 years ago on here, but I think if he goes to Everton then bollocks to him. Just seems to be a sideways move with more money, I thought the whole point of him leaving us was to go up, possibly to a champions league team.

Will be great if he stays. There can be no doubt he is currently our most effective forward. However we should not get all misty eyed about him - if he leaves it is entirely his own choice, he certainly isn't being forced out. He has a massive wage offer and is virtually guaranteed a first team spot. If he thinks his life and career will be better served by a move to Everton then so be it.

I've got no doubt in my mind that he'll be off. He's clearly made the decision to leave, otherwise he would have signed after the Euros. I'll certainly be wishing him the very best of luck but I don't think he'll have a guaranteed start at Everton. I honestly think that this would be a Begovic type move.

He'll not be missed by me. We've seen his sort come and go and they go on to being sod all. Can't stand his body language, hardly ever behaves like he's enjoying football. When he scores a goal it seems so painful to him. Yeah I hated his body language too.. Especially after his winner v Chelsea, his two goals that beat Man City, his scorcher v man u,his last minute penalty at Goodison, the winner at Villa Park etc etc... Unbelievable post ! I sometimes wonder what some of our fans look for in a footballer...

I wonder how much more (if anything) Everton are prepared to pay him in wages. I doubt it will be hugely more than we have offered - I would assume our latest offer would make him at least joint top earner at the club?
I still think there is a good chance he'll stay. At the end of last season he was clearly targeting European football - preferably the CL. Everton are as far (if not further) away from being able to offer that than we are. Would he move for only a few thousand extra a week? At least Bego probably increased his wages by over 50% above what we could afford - Arnie isn't going to come close to that sort of increase if he moves to Everton.

I think Arnie peaked last season and will be only playing at this level for another season. The intensity of his style of play surely means he won't be able to play into his 30s at such a level.

That's like being binned by your missus because she wants something better but then she ends up getting dicked down by a tramp with piss-sodden shoes.

If Arnie goes and it seems to be happening now, I won't be joining in the abuse or "giving it both barrels". He has been a good player for us and while it disappoints me that he's seemingly moving for the cash, there's no point in aiming vitriol at him. Rather a quiet thank you, goodbye and not the big reception he could have got on his return.

They're only running it because of Sky Austria. Just a shame from their point of you that Sky Austria are shit compared to Sky Italia for example.

I honestly think he found 'his club' at Stoke. He needs to be the main man at the club and he'll be far from that at Everton. Let's see how he performs at Everton, if he leaves. Hughes can handle him and bring the best out of him but can Koeman?

I really hope Arnie realises what has happened to him since he came to Stoke! He has rebuilt his image as a very good footballer, he has calmed down, become a father and seems to live a life without controversy. This was not the player we bought from Germany who was known to be a real dick in many ways, or at least very childish, and on his way to ruin a great potential. I also think he is the kind of player who really needs to feel the love from both the fans and the manager to play to his best. He has got that at Stoke, but there is no certainty the same will happen at another club. I could really understand if he jumped the ship for a big club, because good players have ambitions, but Everton are at best on par with us right now so why leave?

If he does leave The important thing is finding a better replacement , we had a similar situation when Lawrence left signing pennant calmed things down very quickly
