Arnie has grown on me, best player of the year last season. But this is running on too long now. I'd sign sobhi and a replacement for Arnie.
I can't stand to see him playing half heartedly until he goes on a free. Bite the bullet now. He's obviously got no loyalty to the club so the club should look after itself.

My feelings about Arni are different to N'Zonzi, and Bego.
The latter two could handle a move, I'm not convinced Arni would thrive under the glare/pressure of new club, large fee, high wages, high expectations, etc. In fact I would say it would do his head in if the Everton crowd got on his back if he had a couple of bad games, which he regularly does. He is best served staying at Stoke and taking what is on offer.
IMO at least half of the big fee moves that take place result in disappointment (ManU, Liverpool, Newcastle have become experts at it) and things don't work out. Arni going to Everton as replacement for Lukaku has a distinct air of failure to meet expectations to me.

If as rumoured Everton will come in with a bid for Arnie I think we should put in a bid for Mirallas.

When agents start to advise clients what is best for them and not what is best for there own pockets life may slowly start to revert back to normal.
I will not hold my breath in anticipation.
If Arnie leaves Stoke he will be a forgotten nobody in a few years time.
Stay and he could do something with his life.

Unfortunately, they're a fact of life and the most successful negotiators are the ones that can play them at their own game. It ain't what it used to be, sadly.

The club have offered Arnie a contract which apparently is well paid for kicking a bag of wind.He needs to sign it in the next week or put in a transfer request,so we can plan without him.Nobody had heard of him before we signed him and let's be honest he was no very good in his first 18 months. So either MH has made him a better player or he as pulled his socks up to try and get a move.On his day he is very good which I would say last season was about70% of the time.He would need to be very good all the time if he wants to play for a top flight club, that's why Everton would be the perfect fit for him,the fans would allow him is off days if he scored a few goals.

One ray of hope is that Arni's agent is his brother (I think) which (if right) may mean his brotherly love may advise in favour of what he genuinely thinks is best for him. That could still mean accepting an Everton offer of course.
As yet though do we know if an approach has been made to Stoke, it could still be agents setting rabbits away and trying to pressurise Stoke into improving their contract offer.

Despite frequent 'come & get me overtures' from Arnie & his agent since before last christmas, not exactly many clubs banging at the door to trigger his £12.5m release clause. Then alleged spitting and a poor Euro Championship.
27 years old. Offer him new 3 year contract on improved terms, with a £15m release clause that can be activated after 2 years. If he really focuses with us and does well, he would then have the option of staying in an increasingly successful Stoke squad or potentially achieving his 'big club' move, aged 29. Don't think he warrants a 'dream' move yet & shouldn't be our highest paid player.
Needs a bit of TLC with his arm twisting up his back at the same time!

I'd be disappointed if he joined Everton. No Champions League football there, I think he could do better than that, if it's not all about the money as its being portrayed is Everton really a step up?
I'm not too fussed if he stays or goes now, I'd love him to stay but I just want it sorted ASAP so we can move on.

At the moment Everton is not nore than a sideways move and without Lukaku, who wants out, they are nothing more than mediocre!

This has been ongoing since october last year and i´m fed up. The result will be the same he leaves like Begovic and N´Zonzi. Player of the year i don´t care, leave now. Good job you're not in charge. With that approach, every player who had an agent trying to get the best deal for his client would be off and we'd be left with slim pickings. Attachment Deleted

Say Arnie would accept 110k a week for a new five year deal. £28.6m Total
Chadli would cost £15m transfer fee + 70k a week? £33.2m Total
I know what i would prefer

It's not as black and white as that and I think we're right to stick within our wage structure as long as we can

Transfer request or new deal, can't see any reason why his brother would be at Clayton Wood while Arnie's on tour.
