I'm still struggling to think of clubs who'd be seriously in for him. Everton are the main ones (although we're yet to see any kind of serious link), and maybe Leicester if thy sold Mahrez. Still think it's a long shot though. He's got those bloody odd boots on again! Not to mention his hair... He's back in the country then, sure we'll hear something pretty soon. I still think he's staying, based on what I've heard, and the fact it's gone very quiet. Just can't see who would be in for him. Leicester? For 4 games in the Champions League? Can't see it. I don't think the bigger clubs see him as a big enough name to take a punt on him.

Didn't N'zonzi have no number in the clips we had of him shortly before he left? Possibly means something that Arnie hasn't this time, but the difference is that Sevilla had made confirmed inquiries for N'zonzi by that point.

Still think it's a long shot though. In the clip with him and Bojan, Bojan has shirt and shorts with no 27, Arnie with no number. Does it mean he'll leave? Or maybe because he's just come back and we've had new training gear he hasn't got his yet....

Back in training today. Really hope he dies his hair back. Looks like a cunt. That's true of all males who do this!

I firmly believe he won't sign, but if he does and we get some of these others the sky is really the limit for us going forwards

Maybe, just maybe, he will feel better back amongst the other players. At least they won't freeze him out of the picture like those idiots did in the Euro matches - that might mean a lot to Marko?

His brother/agent is obviously still fishing around to see if anyone is interested. Just hope it doesn't drag on and is over and done with one way or the other before the start of the season.

I think it will drag until the next window If it goes to the next window he can sign a pre contract with any club abroad and leave foc in the summer. For me if he hasn't signed by end of October I'd say he's offski.

Either would get in our team on merit on last seasons form . Very wary to knock others but we Failed to invest early last summer and then spent £30m catching up and neither Shaq or Imbula could at this stage be argued to be outstanding value so is take Townsend and Tomkins all day long for about 15 m I'd have better things to do with my day ... Than come on here spouting the same shite. Serious question ? Are you a little bit special ?? I don't think that's it personally, I'm convinced it's an account used by (at least) 2 people, one of whom may be an adult but the other(s) definitely still at (a very poor) school.

The more this drags on, the more confident I am that he'll stay. He's a very high maintenance employee and there are others available that are easier to work with.

I would offer Arnie a 'performance' per game related wage,if he plays well and still wants to leave, his value will rise.good for both parties.

Don't want him hanging around playing half arsed with his head in the clouds thinking of pastures new until the next window.
If he wants gone just please fuck him off.
SCFC are bigger than him ffs.

Exactly. Great player when he's arsed, but knowing how temperamental he is and how quickly his toys are out of the pram, you have to wonder what we'll get out of him if this drags on to the next window? He's been stalling for a better offer for months now, waiting for the Euro shop window. Well he wasn't exactly Golden Boot material was he? Think he should probably go now - gutted though.

Yeah, who needs 11 goals and 6 assists a season? You are right in that no player is bigger than the club, but this is always going to happen to clubs in our position. Expect similar things to happen with Shaqiri, Imbula etc in the future. Players want bigger teams to buy them. And if his performances last season were 'half arsed head in the clouds' he'll be bloody unstoppable when he does move.

What none of us want is him seeing out his contract but he may well do that if no-one comes in for him. He'll take a short term loss in that he'll stay on his current wages and then get a Golden Hello when leaving on a free!!!! I really hope this doesn't happen.

We didn't let Begovic or N'Zonzi do this (go into the last year of their contracts), so I am not sure we would allow this to happen with Arnie. That does hinge on someone making a suitably large bid for him, though.

That does hinge on someone making a suitably large bid for him, though. If this season follows the same pattern as last year, there's probably an argument to be made that Arnie seeing out his contract won't cost us an enormous amount of money. And if we did lose a few million, that can be absorbed far more easily with the new TV deal. If Arnie leaves it will be for £12.5m max. If he's as influential this season as last you can argue we'll get a bit of that back in prize money if he stays. His wages won't be as high as his replacement either, you'd think (his stock was low when he signed) - so extra savings there. If Arnie stays you imagine it'll probably be his decision too, and he'll be motivated to get the biggest club and highest wages he can for his next contract. I can't see him stinking out the place. That's one theory anyway...

Completely agree. For me, £10M is the minimum we can let him go for, if not, we suck it up and get a good 12 months out of him.
He has to perform to get his big move and we might start the season well, with great new additions, all of which may tempt him to stay.

I don't buy all this shit about Arnie concentrating on football. If he wants to play for Stoke he would sign up. If he doesn't fuck him off now and move on. We will survive

Has Arnie's performances diminished since the contract offer? No, so why fuck him off? He's our best attacking player ffs.
