8 posts, troll alert. Poor effort. Hey buddy, I'm a season ticket holder just like you. I've been supporting SCFC since the late 1970s. What's your problem? You had 8 posts once. We all have to start somewhere. I do believe Hughesy has to go. Just my opinion. Now go and drink out of that mug made in China. well said mate.stick to your guns.

My 25 for next season:
Butland * NEW KEEPER (preferably a freebie, and homegrown *) Haugaard
Johnson * Bardsley * Cameron Shawcross * Wollscheid NEW CENTRE BACK (?) Pieters NEW LEFT BACK (Amavi?)
Whelan * NEW DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER (M'Vila?) Imbula Afellay
Shaqiri Bojan Arnautovic NEW WINGER (N'tep/Townsend?)
Walters * Diouf Joselu NEW STRIKER (Zaza?)
That is 23 and only 6/7 homegrown players - do we need a minimum of 8 in the 25, or is it a maximum of 17 overseas players in the 25? If the latter, we can name 23 with 17 overseas players and be fine. Rather than fill the squad for the sake of it with the likes of Adam, Wilson and Ireland, I'd rather we left it short of full strength and give youth a chance throughout the season, at appropriate times (maybe we can rotate a kiddie or two onto the bench to get used to being around the first team). We will never know if the likes of Moha, Shenton, N'Goy, Waddington, Telford, Molina, Lecygne, even Verlinden, Abdallah and Luis Silva, have what it takes to make the step up unless we give them the chance.

Most of the current squad is talented enough. What seems to be at issue is some days they can't be arsed. Getting in new players isn't really going to make much difference to that.

I wonder whats on their minds - injury sucepability before the Euros? Didn't seem to bother Alli and Kane. We need a big battering ram of a nr 9, the holes were there for all to see. Benteke for me - at the right money.

Butland/STAY- Player of the season by a mile, doubt he will leave this season unless a top club can offer him a starting role Bardsley /GO- Had a goo two game spell when Johnson got injured but has since really dropped and starting to show his old form, his chronic lack of pace and age makes me think we need better Johnson/STAY-Was one of our best players and added more in attack than Shaq did at times. Surprisingly good defensively aswell. Keep and get some good competition Shawcross/STAY- worried to see how recovers from his injury Wollscheid/STAY- Been superb fo me this season with how many changes he's had to deal with, deserves another season Muni/GO- Love him but he's too injury prone and we still dont know his best position, would keep as backup but doubt he will be happy as that for a fourth season Cameron/???- Same as Muni, very useful utility wise but now in his 30s wouldn't be surprised if we are looking for a replacement. Wilson/GO- Not a starter and likely fallen further down the pecking order. Pieters/STAY- Very good but been hung out to dry this season playing every game, showing a massive drop in performances, needs competition. Whelan/STAY-Superb servant but i'd keep him as back up, getting on, knackered and with the amount of work he has to do now at his age will see a decline in performance Imbula/STAY- Very good attacking wise, woeful defensively, needs a good pre-season and hopefully learns the language, need to work on a plan for when teams mark him Shaqiri/STAY- Flattered to deceive for me, not impressed at all considering how excited we all were, I'd give him another season but if the right money came in i would consider cutting loses Adam and Ireland/GO- both been bit-part player this season and looks like both will be moved on Affelay/STAY- been superb, sign him up for a couple more seasons Bojan/STAY- Need to keep players with his proven ability but very interesting to see how he fits in next season Arni/GO- obvious for everyone to see he's off Walters/GO- No longer a starter but he wont want to be on the bench, a promoted club will take a punt on him Crouch/GO- 35, hardly played, wants to leave Diouf/GO- Manager for whatever reason has lost faith in Mame, very sorry for the lad Joselu/STAY- think this lad has been very hard done by and hasn't had much opportunity to establish his position as a starter and when he has scored he's been benched, deserves more of a chance.

Slightly odd that quite a few people are anxious to be shot of players who made no contribution to some of this season's shockers like last night and Sunday but want to keep those who played a full and none to distinguished part in them!! (The thought of getting rid of SJW from the current set up is frankly bizarre.) Think it all goes to show what a mixed up and unbalanced set up we are just now.

All to go. Just taking up spaces in the squad and offering nothing back.

The only players I would feel angry about if they left would be Butland, Shawcross and Whelan. And possibly Afellay. I have no firm evidence for this, but by watching his body language etc, I worry that Ryan is getting very fed up with the chaos that he sees around him. Ryan would go if chased by another team, he must be pissed off! Who's going to chase a CB with a recurring back injury problem??!!!

I see lots of criticism of players and management but no solutions. Typical Stoke City supporters.

For me it is about bringing in better players in our first team. That causes those we have to be in the squad and others to depart. We need to be careful to remember this is a team game, Spurs showed how effective they are as a team, we still look as several star players who do not always blend. It may be that we are still work in progress and the gaps need filling to complete the blend. I for one still have faith that Hughes is getting us there but has been unfortunate with injuries which prevents consistency. Leicester have done very well but let's see how they cope without Vardy. They have been lucky with injuries and have been able to pick the same team on a regular basis unlike us.

Butland Given Haugaard
RB - Johnson/Bardsley CB - Shawcross/Wollscheid/Muniesa LB - Pieters
CM - Whelan/Imbula/Afellay CAM - Bojan/Ireland LW - Arnautovic RW - Shaqiri
ST - Diouf/Joselu/Walters
That would be my squad for next year. I wouldn't be to sad about losing Walters/Wolscheid or Whelan either dependent on who we bring in.
We need first team players, we NEED a CB, CM, Winger, Striker. Absolute minimum in the summer.
Supplementing that it would be good to see a LB and Winger from the academy coming through? Moseley? Moha? Verlinden? Ngoy/Telford maybe? As well as seeing Shenton back around the squad.
We need a CB that is good as or can become as good as shawcross. We need a versatile, strong and direct winger. We need a CM who can cover as much ground as Nzonzi did who can read the game well and put in a tackle. And we desperately need another striker who can hit the ground running immediately.
We don't need to finish the evolution this summer and it would be nice to see a settled side in pre-season for once

8 posts, troll alert. Poor effort. I have about 2,500 posts, which by your logic means my opinion counts more yours. Actually I am spouting mostly bull crap like everyone else on here! ![(lol)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/lvpvZ64EmrkLcuVniUmo.gif) That's what is so great about the oatcake, everyone's opinion is equally valid, and mostly wrong, which is why we are one here instead of earning a living in the business.

Butland/STAY - His early season form kept us from being in a survival scrap Bardsley /STAY - Good cover Johnson/STAY Shawcross/STAY Wollscheid/STAY Muni/STAY - Not a full back and not big enough for centre back but decent midfield cover Cameron/STAY -Versatile and dependable Wilson/STAY - decent full back cover Pieters/STAY Whelan/STAY - Invaluable, I hope that we are after his replacement Imbula/STAY - Not a defensive mid but good addition to squad. Affelay/STAY Bojan/STAY Arni/STAY Walters/STAY - Not the quickest or sharpest but his 100% commitment and work ethic is what we need in spades
Diouf - NOT SURE - Think he's off anyway Adam - NOT SURE (about his fitness)
Ireland/GO - Too many players above him in the pecking order Crouch/GO - Can't fault his attitude but not mobile enough and will not get games next season Joselu/GO - Good technically but shocking work ethic. Shaqiri/GO - Talented player but inconsistent and poor work ethic.
