This is not the right way to look at it. They'll TRY to add the players they believe they need strengthen the squad first and then cut the players that are surplus to requirements. It may make sense to dump a few players early; however, it makes more sense to hold on to as many as possible and keep all the options open.

8 posts, troll alert. Poor effort. Hey buddy, I'm a season ticket holder just like you. I've been supporting SCFC since the late 1970s. What's your problem? You had 8 posts once. We all have to start somewhere. I do believe Hughesy has to go. Just my opinion. Now go and drink out of that mug made in China.

You are not allowed an opinion unless you agree with some of our more active posters. Anyone would think this was a discussion board...

Whole new back line is key for me. Only Ryan once back fully fit should get near it.

We need...
Proven striker below 25 years of age Better centre half (big African boss) Centre defensive midfielder to compete with whelan New younger right back to complete with Johnson New younger left back to compete with pieters Winger also younger to compete with shaq and Arnie
Also if some squad players are leaving .. Adam, crouch etc these need replacing with some up and comers or if good enough promote some younger ones from youth teams.
Edit - basically get some younger, hungry blood in.

Seriously, one Lukaku type striker would make the world of difference to us, we just need to find him.

I really don't know where to start here, still numb but in truth we've been pretty shit at home for a majority of the season.
The whole team looked disjointed and clueless as to what their intentions were and that lies with Hughes, if you're not interested BTW, bye. I looked across towards the dug out expecting to see him going berserk but he was nowhere to be seen all on night and to not use our third sub bordered on pathetic.
The whole team were shocking but for me Wollschield was Captain Chaos and I've been a fan of his...
Time after time he was flat footed, slow and running around and.... well looking flat footed and slow.
If we've got an interest in Wollschield I'd start with him.
Spurs were good BTW but we should have lost by at least 6 and Hughes would have had some serious, serious questions to ask of the team and especially to Himself.

We need to be careful that we don't make too many changes.
Quick CB Quick winger (or 2 if Arnie goes) Mobile CDM Striker Quick LB (not a priority)

Hey buddy, we are still in the top half of the league, just like we were last season, so on what basis do you want Hughes out? You come on here spouting shit like that, and guess what? You'll get told it's shit... You holding a season ticket doesn't mean your opinion can't be challenged.

Wollscheid and Shaqiri need to go.
We need a centre half, right winger and striker minimum. Possibly a left winger if Arnautovic goes.

Id get rid of:
Muniesa. Too unreliable (Edit: Injury related...).
Ireland. Too many in his position and not being used
Crouch. Ditto.
Diouf. The manager has no confidence in him so why keep him?
Given. Too old.
Wilson. Not good enough.
Adam. Not going to be first choice and not reliable enough to keep himself in shape when not in use.

Realistically, Arnie's going to go.
At least one of Wilson or Cameron can go for me.
Ireland, Crouch have no future here. Not sure if Adam does either.

For me
No future at SCFC Adam Ireland Crouch Wilson Diouf (manager does not trust him clearly) Tex
They are going to go Arnie
Jury out Shaq Shawcross (his injury is one big worry) Imbula Muni (injury plagued)
Coming to the end of their career at Prem level Walters Whelan Johnson Bardsley Given
Should be back ups, not starters Wolly Cameron
That is a horrible list

The only players I would feel angry about if they left would be Butland, Shawcross and Whelan. And possibly Afellay. I have no firm evidence for this, but by watching his body language etc, I worry that Ryan is getting very fed up with the chaos that he sees around him.

Only comments would be: give Diouf a chance, far too early to judge Imbula, and keep Cameron. Shan has still more to offer - but can he?

I'd keep Haugaard, he looked good in previous matches to his recent spell, when he has had a lousy defence in front of him.

Because it's really easy to move a shed load of players on and then integrate half a dozen new players into the side. As for getting rid of the manager, well I'm lost for words.
Stoke City really have some of the most clueless know nothing "supporters" on the planet.

Think it's very hard to judge Diouf on this season really. It is - but Mr H seems to have a lack of faith I guess we'll get a better idea over the summer and/or next season whether that's just because of the season's circumstances or if it's more general.
