Yeah I enjoy the incongruity of the prosaic nature of the Kid Acne raps 'Bank Holiday on the sofa, cat hair's on yer jumper' and such. Bought 'Rap Traffic' on release, had a bit of 'hype' at the time, an antidote to cash/gun gangsta etc. Played it at the {Bank Holiday} weekend, makes me smile and the beats are good too. Funky graphics/cover art etc... Enjoy this, but I'm a sucker for a Shipping Forecast news sample..

Tyler Childers (Bluegrass). As someone with their fair share of dark days (hopefully) behind them, bluegrass really connects with me.
This one is a bit of a love song that makes me think of my wife (we travel A LOT together).

If you're into your audio systems, get this cranked up and played via this link or through Spotify, you won't regret it. Whoever is responsible for recording, mixing and mastering this track is a genius, it's hifi heaven. I use it to test our Bose PA when setting up and it always stops people in their tracks when they feel that bass hit them. Pretzel....what is the best system/ set up to listen to recorded music, in your opinion.

Jeez that's the $64,000,000 dollar question and I guess the answer lies with the ears (and indeed the pockets) of the beholder.
My first inclination was to reply suggesting a Kevin Scott (who I personally know very well) system, as the question asked was, what is the best system out there but then you'd be looking at (gulp) seven (yes seriously seven) figures for one of his top ones.
I've known the Audio Note chaps for over 35 years and pound for pound (in my humble) they make the best stuff out there. You can pick up a really decent system off them for £10k (bearing in mind that their top stuff sells for over £500k) and beyond that, it really comes down to the law of diminishing returns ... the more you spend, the less there is in an improvement.
A £100k system would blow most peoples minds but a £10k system would blow it virtually just as much, if that makes sense?

Liking the Charlie parr 👍 Yeah your Jim White post brought Charlie to mind. I was made aware of his 'Criminals & Sinners' album early millennium. There was to be a mini UK tour organised by Static Caravan Records, Brum, there'd been collaborations with Alan Sparhawk {Low} and the post post rockers Charles Atlas.. {ace albums 'Felt Cover', 'Worsted Weight'... etc}. That particular tour didn't occur, travel restrictions/cost because of Mad Cow or somesuch.. I can see me sen listening to to this fella quite a lot, what’s go to album the king earl album ain’t easy come buy and I think the song you originally posted is of of that. Been listening to better and self titled album, both great. Re Jim white if he tours go see him fantastic night music and life story telling

I'd never even heard of Jim White (well except for the guy in the yellow tie) until I watched the couple of (ace) videos you posted on here and now I'm hooked, this is absolutely glorious ...

I was in the music business (retired now) for most of my life but (as I said) the appreciation level is ultimately (and always) with the ears of the individual beholder and in my humble opinion, Audio Note, although there are better (and massively more expensive) alternatives out there, offer the best bang for buck audio systems available.

I'm often a bit down on orchestral arrangements of pop songs, I find them a bit unnecessary and self indulgent a lot of the time. But this is excellent, perhaps because Whiter Shade of Pale is based around a Bach piece, I don't know. Anyway, it's tremendous stuff and it would no doubt have been great to have been there. Rest in peace, Mr Brooker, and thanks for one of the iconic songs of the 20th century.

Got see him 4 times now I think last time was in a lovely little pub in Nottingham, only about forty people in the place the sound was amazing, he’s always appeared with different folk , the snippet you showed is him doing a talking heads thing if I’m not wrong🤷♂️. Really he’s one of best folk country singers kinda after John martyn, only stumbled across him myself coming home from the pub 🤷♂️30 years ago and watching a documentary called looking for the wrong eyed Jesus, even the sleeve notes are fasanating. He’s playing in Antwerp nov I think. I’m over there unless he included other things closer to the time. Do you get I think he’s good 🤪
