Good story. But I had to sit through nearly 2 minutes of those damn lazers before there was any actual footage of the lovely Judie! Well straight in here CS!
There are obviously many, many versions of SWMTD out there but imo this is one of the best (far better than the original), the absolute power she commands and then moments later, she is utterly fragile, a touch too much reverb from the desk for my liking but if you don't get goosebumps listening to this performance, then you must have concrete running through your veins ...
Yes excellent. Quite surprising that someone so talented wasn't more successful. Never had another hit single but did sell a few albums in the 80s.

Yes excellent. Quite surprising that someone so talented wasn't more successful. Never had another hit single but did sell a few albums in the 80s. I bought the first half a dozen albums and saw her numerous times late seventies to mid 80s great singer with a really decent band. Some truly fantastic tracks For You, Understanding, I never know where my heart is, City of swimming pools, The choices you've made, Living on the coast, etc. Never quite reached the heights of Welcome to the cruise but not far off, she needed another big hit and it never came. Interesting to see her touring and performing with the brilliant Julia Fordham and Beverley Craven. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woman_to_Woman_(Beverley_Craven,_Judie_Tzuke_and_Julia_Fordham_album) Promise me is such a wonderful song.

An unbelievable voice... like ice cold drops of rain
To see her singing alongside her daughters would be pretty special

I’d forgotten all about Pendulum, used to love them as a young rabble rouser.

Matchday Musikal Musings: Warm Up and limber..... Liking the Charlie parr 👍 Yeah your Jim White post brought Charlie to mind. I was made aware of his 'Criminals & Sinners' album early millennium. There was to be a mini UK tour organised by Static Caravan Records, Brum, there'd been collaborations with Alan Sparhawk {Low} and the post post rockers Charles Atlas.. {ace albums 'Felt Cover', 'Worsted Weight'... etc}. That particular tour didn't occur, travel restrictions/cost because of Mad Cow or somesuch..
