The excellent prog rock thread sent me on a trip down memory lane, which lead to me putting on Gil Scott Heron. It's not prog rock so it best belongs in this thread. It's somewhat relevant still now, although it refers to the first Iraq war. Bush snr.

I like the few Besnard Lakes tracks I've heard. A lot. Think they are/were part of the fine Jagjagawar label. Canadian folkish rock. Songs:Ohio, Julie Doiron etc. Stuff I really enjoy.

John Grant has my attention just now. I listened to this track and several others a few weeks ago after I heard "Glacier" on either 6Music or he may have been the featured artist on Jo Whiley's Radio 2 evening programme. Can't remember who duetted with him on the track.
