I'd take a point right now to be honest. But I'm an unambitious kind of guy

Be the toughest game of the season I reckon, Southampton are a very good team and I'd be tempted to rest Adam for van Ginkel, and Diouf up top for Walters, gives us a lot more energy and pace on the break......

Certainly a game Mark and his team are relishing Don't think so, but one I am.There every year but this year could mean everything to us. Could we really not just get a draw but a victory ? I better calm down I think. Just shut up them Southampton fans singing the same song on and on and on.

If we got a point or three at St Mary's it would really put down a marker for the progress of our team. It would be a bigger result than both Chelsea games IMHO, based on relative form.

When Stoke beat Chelsea we showed great defensive resolution with bags of courage and conviction but we also showed that we could counter quickly and with flair. It was great to watch. I shall be at Southampton for what promises to be a landmark match. Should we get a result people will start to really sit up and take notice of our achievements. I am hoping that we can bring off a massive coup!

A lot will depend on the referee on the day. If we get a fair one, we have a chance. Get a homer. Forget it!

You'd suspect that we will need to be at our very best all over the park to take 3 points away from St Mary's simply because Southampton are a very good outfit. We'll need to be rock steady at the back to keep the likes of Pelle out whilst also sharp up top and put a few chances away. On our day, at our best - yes, we can beat anybody. UTMP

Southampton are in very good form, this could be our biggest challenge so far this season bar Arsenal away. were all on a high right now and so we should, I fear that Soton could send us straight back to planet earth. But we play better away so.... who knows. I'll go for:

I'm going, but I live in southampton now and I've had to put up with constant piss taking over the last couple of seasons from friends and neighbours (well apart from my Pompey mates who are willing us to win!!!) would love for us to get a result here, but I'd be chuffed with a draw....can't bear the thought of us losing!

If Ryan scores and keeps a clean sheet at Woys fave club, will he get selected for Engerland ?? What am I thinking, course he won't !!

Tough one this, wouldn't mind the point pre-match... Southampton are a good side. Mind you, we should still have a chance to smash and grab anywhere this season I feel. Just need to get our tactics and selection right and have a go!

I'd consider Southampton one of the hardest fixtures in the league. They're fast becoming one of the best teams in England.

Just need to get our tactics and selection right and have a go! That's the difference nowadays isn't it, we have a real chance of getting points away from home, perhaps even more than games at the Brit, since teams will come at us, and we can then break on them. For that reason Diouf has to come back in, and I usually like Walters energy but Shaqiri is hitting some form now on that wing ( unless we try him in Bojan's place as he has that vision and passing) Shawcross has been a rock on his return, the back 4 as a whole are solid, and even when beaten we have Jack !! Good times, let's just keep that intensity we've had too.

Bet365 are offering:
8/15 Southampton 3/1 Draw 5/1 Stoke City
So a £15 stake on Southampton to win will see you win £8 the same stake on Stoke to win will see you win £75
So in effect a Southampton victory is nearly 10x more likely than a Stoke win.
I give us very little hope but put like that a bet on Stoke would seem to offer some 'value' at least to me.

At those odds I'll slap them in a treble with 2 bankers and stick a fiver on the Stoke win aswell.

To be honest, Gods. With our away form thus far being pretty damn good, those are flippin' massive odds. Even the draw (most likely for us) is attractive. My bets for that game will be a treble with Stoke drawing and 2 bankers. And a fiver on the win for Stoke. Only do £10 max betting a week so that's easily affordable. Had a fiver on Stoke to beat Chelsea 1-0 @9/1 !!
